Kansas City Wizards v Manchester United- Pre-Season Tour

I seriously want to kick the shit out of the ref. he's been horrible, wants to grab the headline i guess. fecker.

We've been pretty shocking to be fair. It would help if we actually passed to our own players though.

I;m disapointed in Rafael too. He's put on loads of weight.

Nobody on the bench who can really help in central midfield except maybe Cleverley.

The defence is wank. Granted they lack experience and have never played with each other but Rafael is getting murdered by their winger and he's supposed be the most experienced one(with Evans).

It's 4:35am here. Not sure if it's worth staying up another hour for!

He did struggle to get into Fulham's side.

That Chelsea game aside (where he also scored an own goal), has he had one good game in the last 6 months?

I think he'll go out on loan this year.

No chance will Smalling go out on loan. We paid £10 million for him. Hard to see why so far. We need to brace ourselves with the fact that he will start games and be learning on the job and we will ship goals because he is so raw and unaware.

Definitely the referee's performance.Way too strict

Yeah, he has been comical.

Some of the stuff posted on here though is way over the top. Smalling seems to have been written off by some already on the basis of the small amount of game time in this tour.

I've never rated Gibson, He is a lame centre midfielder but could keep a place in our squad. Rafael and smalling are young and learning. De laet will be sold within 2 years though.

Usually we've seen Gibson played in a three man midfield with Fletcher and Scholes. His limitations as a midfielder have been exposed this half. He's been virtually non-existent when he hasn't been giving up possession cheaply.

Smalling and Rafael have been torn apart on the left side, but De Laet and Evans haven't been much better.

Diouf might as well not be on the pitch for all the service he has received.

Berbatov, Giggs, and Scholes have been gamely trying to lift the team.

I feel sorry for Ben Amos because he'll feel the sting of the goals allowed even though he has been left hanging by his defenders. Unfortunately he doesn't have the confidence to yell at his defenders even though he should do so.

It's pre season and everybody has heavy legs. Wait a week or two before you judge our players.

Btw I think Smalling look like a real athlete. Our staff will take care off his tactical weakness. Looks like a young Rio.

Smalling just rusty? worrying me looks out of sorts out there

The referee has been horrible. The red card was totally unnecessary in a friendly, and he's been getting decision after decision wrong. I think he's in love with the spotlight.

Can you tell me I'm wrong? It's better we recognize these players aren't good enough now before they cost us against better teams and at higher cost.

We dont get a say. Unless you are grouping us all in with Sir Alex. Which you shouldnt do because unlike yourself and several others, he's not going to make any decisions like that based on pre-season games.

You've seen enough of Smalling to decide that he isn't good enough?

Well it's natural to get a bit worried about his performances. He's going to need to play every League Cup game possible.

Right now he looks very raw indeed.
