Kansas City Wizards v Manchester United- Pre-Season Tour

Their second goal didn't even cross the line!

On a brighter note, Danny Welbeck. He's ready, Fergie.

Kansas parked the bus at the end, desperate for the win, talk about trying hard. Oh well let them have it. Cue all the mocking from our rivals, basing our whole next season on it.

Cleverly and Welbeck looked good when they came on.

It's strange that our best players was Giggs and Scholes, In a pre season friendly. That's not a good sign.

Thou, shall, not, equalise!

And Evans sums up the performance with that hoof ball.

Hes one of the worst passers of a football ive ever seen  In fact can any of our defenders pass the ball? Rio, Vida, but everybody else just seems to panic when they are on the ball in their own half.

Meh, friendly. As long as fitness comes. Berba scoring made me happy. Welbeck looked good when coming on as well.

Thought it was a cracking game, personally. Thought Rafael once again showed why he's not in the first team yet, and why people need to calm down a bit about him. He's still very naive.

Welbeck was quality when he came on, and Cleverley had a lot of nearly moments. Giggs was very good if wasteful I thought.

It's pre-season.

Who gives a feck?

Nobody will give a feck tomorrow, or even in an hour, but you can't help but be disappointed and embarrassed at the performance. I don't remember a worse one in the previous pre-season tours.

A team with 4 wins out of 16, including 8 losses, in a Mickey Mouse league beat us when they had 10 men for over half of the game. Not only that, they deserved their win and looked more likely to add to it with 10 men.

Berba, Giggs, Scholes and Nani stated the game. Over half of the caf think Rafael should be first choice.

fair enough, but its still not a big deal.

I dont think Rafael is ready to be our first choice at at all. Brown/JOS any day please. Rafael will get 30 or so games this year and will only play when in form. It will be another transition/bedding in season for him.

Anyone else hoping Rafael is not our starting right back next season? The lad's a liability defensively at this point - he's proven it time and time again.

Looking for positives .... So that means Berbatov has scored in consecutive games and is our leading scorer of the tour so far?

Well I enjoyed it. But I am a bit drunk.

And didn't we lose to some Asian team a couple of years' back?

On a serious note, I think theres something wrong when - 15+ years later - Giggs and Scholes are still your best players. I dont even mean in this match, I mean in general.

Watched last 30 minutes we looked very pedestrian and it felt that we were just going through the motions?

How was the first half - was it mroe enjoyable or tumescent like the second half?

The only thing that is for certain is that you should not read anything into pre season matches.

The same, only it was KC that saw most of the ball.

Yep. He's been good so far. The Celtic game was a stand out performance

Edit: Well not consecutive but his 2nd goal of the tour and was unlucky in the last game

 Rafeal is fine.

I don't give a shit about pre-season as much as the next bloke as we allknowitmeans shit-all. But Rafael can be an absolute liability at times. He's not going to be our nailed on right back this year...

They're always our best players in pre-season. Class always shines through in pre-season.
