Would've liked to see Nani play from the start, get his confidence up ahead of next week. Carrick has had a miraculous recovery (why can't Hargreaves?) and good to see Owen playing from the start, he looked sharp against the Irish.

Seems very conceivable to me, with Berbatov's eye for a pass and Hernandez beating the offside trap. Perhaps play Rooney on one of the wings and Nani on the other; there's definitely goals in that side!

Berbatov is exactly the type of striker you'd want to partner strikers like chica and owen, so it is very possible that a berbanandez partnership may be our best partnership. That said, big games, we only play 1 striker, and rooney is still the man for that. Gives us much more options this season, and we can rely less on rooney
