Manchester United vs. Newcastle United

van der Sar

O'Shea
J Evans
Vidic
Evra

Valencia
Fletcher
Scholes
Nani

Rooney
Berbatov

SUBS: Kuszczak, Rafael, Smalling, Carrick, Giggs, Hernandez, Macheda.

No Neville, Hargreaves, Ferdinand, Brown, Owen, Anderson, Park, Fabio, Obertan or Gibson for one reason or another.

We've got amazing depth in squad.

Nani up against Perch. He's been pretty poor in pre-season. This could be fun.

and Cleverly. I think our squad have reached the 25-man limit. :nervous:

The quality on sky player is shit.

You'd think they could stream HD by now

Why are people reading into Owen's absence so much. He was regularly not in matchday squads last season. Ferguson has said he's rotating him. Owen, himself, has said he's happy with a rotation role.

The Newcastle team is much weaker than I expected.

What did you expect ? Iniesta in midfield and Zlatan up-front ? They haven't got better players than that - Simpson, Campbell, S.Taylor and Leon Best are all injured

Official line-up

United team: Van der Sar, O'Shea, Vidic, Evans, Evra; Valencia, Fletcher, Scholes, Nani; Berbatov, Rooney.
Subs: Kuszczak, Rafael, Smalling, Carrick, Giggs, Macheda, Hernandez.

Yeah, I got Sky on. I love Andy Grays little analysis'!

Maybe he didn't realise they were injured? Hence, his "surprise".

Watch back to the early 90s, Sky were doing it on MNF back then.

You mean we will have Ford-commercials at half-time ? And Andy Gray shouting - sorry man - I just noticed Gary Pallister arriving from the back - he hasn't scored this season - I wonder if they are saying to him "Go on big man - have a go"

No Carrick? Hmm...thought he had his best game in a while last week.

Well apart from O'Shea for Rafael (which was always likely given that later was on international duty in the States) it's fairly much the team most Man Utd fans voted for ... okay Hernandez for Berbatov too ... but that has a similar reason.

Placing Carrick on the bench is probably a tactical decision and Fergie thinks Scholes can really expose Newcastle's midfield here, that or maybe he still needs a bit more match-freshness.

Why are they obsessing over having a game on monday?

It's much better spending a Sunday afternoon in a pub with 2 games rather than 1

:D

Aye, that's the one.

They haven't done it much recently, but this is by no means a new thing.

I quite like it.

Caftards just don't like change.

Theyre going to decide who the best Centre forward in the league is now, after one game.

Safe to say i prefer ESPN

Behave. They are prone to excessive hyperbole, but Sky is by far the best sports broadcaster in the UK.

Would the team be much better with Sol Campbell, Leon Best and Danny Simpson ? :)

Perhaps not. But it would have been more recognisable perhaps.

Cos it's their "thing".

Besides, what's the problem? What else would we be doing now? Watching Corrie...?

The goals that drogba just scored, you cant imagine rooney scoring goals like that (even though he has the strength and imagination to!), however, i can imagine hernandez scoring those types of goals. He has done, like against argentina.

And no, im not saying hernandez is on par with drogba.

Spot on..
He is better than Drogba

A freekick through a crap wall, a tap in and a deflection??

Meh.

I like the idea of other teams being on but it's annoying waiting an extra day or 2 to see us play.

 Rooney's volley, just watched it about 5 times on repeat
