Manchester United vs. Newcastle United

Valencia looked short of match practice, but was it just me, or did Berba look a tad bit quicker/sharper?

The thing is when you stop Valencia from getting crosses in, which Newcastle did well, he's not really got much in his locker to trouble you.

I don't think he was lacking sharpness, he just got marked out of the game today. He'll be brilliant again in no time though :D

Going to be a huge battle for the Champions League spots with Us,Villa, Wolves, Birmingham and Sunderland all in the running for the 3rd and 4th spots

Just go back watching the game from the pub, United were a excellent in all areas. Paul Scholes again was brilliant especially with his eye for passing that involved in some of the goals. Bsrbatov is was just awesome to watch those tricks & flicks top all that scores a wonderful goal with that. He could've had a hat-trick. Rooney was ok not in his best and shame to those who booed. Man of the match: Paul Scholes for me.

No he was lacking sharpness a few passes to him that he normally would have timed well to run onto or laid into space after a single touch he kept having to take second touches and back track. There was a fair bit of ring rust with a few of the players I thought. They'll sort it out though.

Paul Scholes.

Passes: 85
Successful: 76
Assist's: 1

Tackles: 2
Succesful: 1

The second half was a joy to watch, Scholes in majestic form, Berbatov feeling his oats, Evra raiding, Chicharito eager and feisty, and Giggs continuing the process of becoming Sam Fisher.
