I just listened and disagreed and didn’t say anything.”[/I]

Can just imagine Grayson sitting there, nodding and smiling, desperately trying to catch someone's eye to have them give him an excuse to leave.

O'Shea not being sent off will probably piss them off.

They will ignore the fact that they were allround abysmal for the entire match. And were lucky that we just handed 2 goals on a plate for them.

roy fecking hodgson, that is all

Hope all the fecking whoppers are glad we're getting great results like this now that Rafa has gone eh?

Hodgson will rue the day he took this job. He's not good enough for it, he's not clever enough for it, and he's not suited to it at all. He should have stayed with a mid-table club instead of trying to turn us in to one. Don't care if it seems whopperish to say so after only 5 league games, he's taking us nowhere fast.

Not going to bother arguing who played well and who didn't, we got to 2-2 and had them rocking, then waited for them to score again. That's Hodgson's fault, bottom line.

The thing that fecking pisses me off the most is that they didnt create feck all. A couple of crosses in dealt with awfully, and a wonder goal.

And, a loss can be a win it seems!

we fought. and that's important to me. i don't expect much this season, i wanted to lads to fight and be proud to wear the shirt. unfortunate, that we didn't get at least a draw. but i can't be too unhappy with the lads or roy today.

To be honest the consensus opinion on RAWK is that they were rubbish and 3-2 was flattering.

There's also a lot of Hodgson bashing (it appears to be his fault) and an undercurrent of "O'Shea should have been sent off and he crossed for the winner...", which to be honest, I'd agree with - but we deserved the win so feck 'em anyway

Leeds boss, Simon Grayson, has revealed that ahead of his team’s clash against Liverpool last season, Rafael Benitez paid him a visit, but there was only one thing he wanted to talk about.

“I think all managers have huge respect for each other but you’re not going to all get along with each other,” said Grayson. “They’ll be disagreements on the touchline. We played Liverpool last season in the Carling Cup and Rafa came to speak to me in my office for ten minutes before the game and all he wanted to talk about was Sir Alex. I just listened and disagreed and didn’t say anything.”

That's fantastic.

Still buzzing too much from our game to sit down and watch Cleverley for Wigan, so here's some delightful stuff from RAWK today.

Nani is a big bastard, and I hope someday someone will break his leg in two.

BBC Sport's Phil McNulty at Old Trafford: "Manchester United had time to recover from losing their lead this week and they fully deserved to win, with Dimitar Berbatov producing a masterclass. They were vastly superior to an ordinary Liverpool."

says all i need to know

i did not watch, my passion for the club has gone, thank you hicks and gillette

Shithouse tactics from a shithouse manager.

G'night.

Happy Roy? You should be mate. This certainly wont ruin that cherished friendship and glass of wine with the hard shoulder shitting scumbag, but it kinda looks like we made a good fist of it too!! So we should all be happy right? Onwards and upwards. Oh and dont worry, Konchesky and Poulsen WILL come good. Top class players like them are bound to.

In all seriousness, why bother? Its been said before. Its been said since he became our manager. Its been said from that moment he said 'I hope this doesnt affect my friendship with Slurgie' so why bother saying it anymore? He's Liverpool manager. He's great. His tactics and signings are spot on. I'm lying. He's the worst Liverpool manager ever.

Unbelievable how tactically bad we were. I was in a state of shock over how overplayed we were.

Only have a few things to say about this game.

1) Could some of you local ladies and gentlemen make a trip down to Anfield/Melwood and inform Roy Hogdson that it's not punishable by death having a tactic that includes the first half as well.

2) Someone please inform mr. Webb that a player who is clear on goal and is brought down on purpose by a defender is a straight red. Just a suggestion.

3) Gerrard is a hero.

4) If there is any justice in the world Luis Nani will get fistfecked by a Gorilla

Bless the little Scouser can't understand the laws of the game

Red Card if "A clear Goalscoring Opertunity is denied".

Webb felt that Van Der Sar would have reached the ball first and because of this it was not a "clear goal scoring opertunity"

carragher owen last season was more of a goal scoring opportunity than this one

I do think Woy made a mistake. Meireles in behind Torres? Ridiculous really.

The line about Nani and a gorilla is class tbf

I have to admit the imagery behind that is quite funny, he's doing a great job of getting under opposition player and fans noses ala Ronaldo.

Great game from him today.

Meireles was our best player. Taking him off was the problem, not playing him behind Torres.

Liverpool's problems are many-fold and Meireles is waaay down the list.

I was so sure i would have seen something like "the ref bottled it" in regards to Osheas card but it appears their hate for their own manager is greater than anything else... Idiots

 Some of that stuff is ridiculous. This quote in particular. It wasn't us who barely caused a threat, without the exception of those set pieces.

You have got to admire Benitez though, for spellbinding masses and masses of Poo supporters to the extent that they worship his mediocrity above everything else.

Is Hodgson a better manager than Benitez in your opinion?

That's not the point though is it, Benitez probably is a better manager, but he's not anywhere near as good as RAWK would lead you to believe, nowhere near

He did some very good things at Liverpool, but did an awful lot of terrible things as well

Is Hodgson a better manager than Benitez in your opinion?

No he isn't, but still the loyalty towards Benitez there is insane Sam. He is a good manager but some of the talk about him there makes it look like that he's on par with the likes of Shankly and Paisley.

What has Bentiez done that Liverpool fans so spellbound by him? Granted he won a FA cup and UCL but after that what has he exactly achieved? He took a average squad and won the UCL then he began replacing that average squad with players who are average (at best) and created a extremely large squad that had no real quality - barring Gerrard and Torres. Had liverpool played Barcalona style football i would understand why you would want him to stay but watching them was terrible, 2 holding midfielders and try and catch the team on the break.

The guy who took over from that would have a big task on their hands.

Some of it is ridiculous, isn't it? We were the better team and could have had more than 3 goals. Nani missed a sitter, also his rocket off the post. What about Liverpool's players? Sometimes I think Jamie Carragher is a rugby player in a football shirt.

I agree with your first point. And your second.

So, to sum up, I agree with your post.

All the pundits claimed that Liverpool fought hard to get back into the game. Am I just wearing red tinted specs or was it just basically we gave Liverpool two soft goals after a couple of brain farts from the back.

To me the match was essentially United vs United's poor mental state. Liverpool barely featured into the equation aside from a couple of runs from Torres and Cole.

Well if RAWK has the loyalty toward Benitez that many claim on here, I agree, it's misguided.

The point is, have we sacked a manager and replaced him with someone inferior?

To early to tell of course but the early portents aren't that good.

Yes that's what I saw too. They got 2 goals through mistakes from our defence, from two set-pieces. It was our own feck up which got them back into the match for that brief moment.

It's not just you.

That sad, goals are goals and Liverpool got two. The three Utd goals were down to Liverpool's patent inability to deal with crosses. Shall we write them off too?

I was in the pub which was half full of Sounthern Scouse sympathisers.

If these are the 'best supporters in the world' gauld help us...

It was so embarrassing, I can tell you. They made the sort of noise you'd only make if you were at the game, not down the pub. When Gerrard's 2nd goal went in, you would have thought they had won the league. The sort of things they were shouting, well some of them you'd get a ban on here for saying...

(one of them actually called Nani a black cnut, if you will...).

There were people calling for various players to get serious injuries, Scholes, Rooney, Nani (again). Its not just RAWK, they are really like that...

The United fans clearly knowledgeable and respectful, a totally different class...
