Bolton Wanderers vs. Manchester United

We must win this one, I'm just afraid we won't use our best squad as we have Valencia coming up soon...

Saying that, I'll have Berbs lead the line with Owen for Bolton and Use Rooney in 4-5-1 against Valencia.

Our MF has been pretty predictable with only Scholes and Fletcher on top form.

I'm sure Park and Obertan will need more minutes, maybe these two matches are too soon but Obertan and Bebe' must feature soon.

Team should be...

GK: VDS

RB: O'Shea
CB: Ferdinand
CB: Vidic
LB: Evra

RM: Nani
CM: Fletcher
CM: Gibson
LM: Giggs

CF: Rooney
CF: Berbatov

Subs: PIG, Evans, Rafael, Scholes, Park, Owen, Hernandez

Going for a comfortable 3-0. Berbatov among the scorers

What the feck?

Absolutely spot on. Couldn't give two shits about the CL midweek, tomorrow is all I'm thinking about right now.

-----------------VDS-----------------
Rafael------Rio-------Vidic--------Evra
Nani------Fletch-----Scholes-----Giggs
----------Rooney----Berbatov---------

Subs: PIG, O'Shea, Evans, Anderson, Park, Owen, Hernandez.

Agree with this. Fletch and Scholes in the middle, Rio returns, Rafael where he should be, and Berba and Rooney up front.

I see Giggs starting today and Park starting against Valencia but getting time against Bolton.

The Scholes debate is a tough one and without seeing Valencia this season, I'm not sure which one will play more bunker football. I think Bolton will play a very open game in which case I can see a Fletcher/Gibson combo and save Scholes for Valencia.

I would go with VDS, Rafael, Rio, Vidic, Evra, Nani, Fletcher, Scholes, Giggs / Park, Berba, Rooney

They've certainly been playing like that more than they did in previous seasons, but I fear in our case they just might revert to type.

We need Rio for this full stop, the aerial threat must be nullified.

-----------------Van Der Sar
----Rafael-----Ferdinand------Vidic-----Evra----
---Nani-------Fletcher-----Anderson----Giggs----
-------------Berbatov---Rooney----------

A lot of pace and creativity in that team which will be needed when Bolton inevitably revert to their old style.

I would have Scholes for Giggs and us lining up 433/451

United XI - VDS; O'Shea, Evans, Vidic, Evra; Nani, Scholes, Fletcher, Giggs; Rooney, Berbatov

Subs - TK, Owen, Anderson, Smalling, Park, Rafael, Macheda

Pleased with that, then. Rio probably rested for Valencia, rest of the team is standard. Same 11 that beat Liverpool so should do Bolton.

No Hernandez, is SAF unhappy about his performances for us?

Same as last week then. Unchanged line up for 2 consecutive PL games?

Well Fergie's partially to blame for that. It can't help him to be played out on the wings and when he does get to play striker he gets service from the likes of Gibson

Team looks pretty good, United should do well today

 Yeah poor Hernadez

Rafael is seriously out of favour at the moment isn't he.

Pretty happy with the team, I'd have liked to see Rio back but other than that it's all good, should be nice and attacking and with the way Bolton play under Coyle we should get plenty of chances to hit them on the break. I expect a good few goals, just hope our defence can keep their heads for a clean sheet.

Very strong team, though would have liked Rafael to start.

Looks like O'Shea is our first-choice rightback like it or not.

TBH against Bolton i would like to see Oshea play ahead of Rafael, i think Rafael should get more chances in the home games but away Oshea is a seasoned pro who can handle the physical/defensive part of the game
