Manchester United v West Bromwich Albion

1. Subs: Kuszczak, Rooney, Smalling, Scholes, O'Shea, Macheda, Gibson

This could be a real opertunity for Hernandez. West Brom are not going to have 11 men behind the ball and are not protecting a lead like most games he started or come on in. He'll actually have some space to show what he is capable of and with Berbatox up with him I'm confident he'll get opertunities.

Berba cutting out the booze?

I guess Rooney on the bench was no surprise after his recent comments.

Right, Manchester United... had forgotten about this team. fecking internationals!

Michael Owen not even in the squad even after an international 2 week break?

He's off in January.

I can understand Fergie wanting to wrap him in cotton wool to ensure he doesn't get injured but not playing him at all kind of defeats the purpose doesn't it?

Well I still sort of thought he would end up starting.

Just wish all this between Fergie and Rooney had started after he had already signed a contract :nervous:

I wouldn't fret, he'll likely sort his contract soon enough and be back to top form in the not too distant future.

I am all for squad rotation but Fergie has overdone this - he has built a squad that is too big that means rotation is more like 3 week holiday, 1 game, 3 week holiday, 1 game.

Why? SAF has dropped a player who is in poor form, and picked two players who are in form. Surely Wayne knows this
