Yeah nail on the head. It all basically shows that both the team and SAF knew Rooney was on his way since the Summer. They tried to resolve it but Rooney was having none of it so they probably tried to keep things on the Q.T but there's only so much you can take as a team and manager when you know more than the fans do.
SAF was right to let the cat out of the bag and I'm certain so are the team. It's very damaging to moral when all a team hear is a players name being chanted who they know doesn't give a feck about the fans or the club

I seriously hope people are not already rewriting history here. I no longer wish to see Rooney playing for United again, and I never thought he was one of the top 3 players in the world, but when fit he was scoring against the very best for United.

I think its quite easy to read between the lines and see that he has been tapped up. But the question is, by City or by Madrid? If its Madrid, at least he wont be playing in the same league and there are one or two decent reasons why he might like to go there. If its City, there's only one reason he'd go there...
