Well Rio's on 120k right, and the initial offer would "comfortably make him the highest paid at the call", so I'd say they've gone up about 20-30k, not 70k.
He would of gotten 200k(and possibly less tax) anywhere else. So there is obvious loyalty there, and how the whole shit went down was embarrassing, but yeah it's done, I'm happy about it, and he'll hopefully be happy again, that picture is the happiest I've seen him in like 7 months.

We all know that SAF will rid people from the team if they overstep the line. Clearly there are other factors involved here and SAF feels the Rooney should not be removed like RVN, Beckham or Keane.
