For all the people who can't see the talent today was a showcase. Magnificent. He loves blackburn.

Anyone who said this lad hadn't got the ability or potential should be hung, it was never a question of him not having the talent ive maintained for a long time he has the ability to be something very special he simply needs a run and the added maturity playing for a club this size in a midfield requires not to mention a break from long term injury hes only 22 i believe and already has had some horrific injury lay offs.

I hope he does what Nani did last season i certainly hope he gets the chance to atleast, it was around this sort of time Nani awoke and really has never looked back if Anderson can do something similar weve a great player on our hands.

that's Scholes-esque

Impressive stats isn't it? For someone who apparently can't pass!

Anderson helped to run the game from midfield with that drive and positive play of his. Despite the lack of goals, he is an attacking midfielder that mainly specialises in the creation of opportunities. Sometimes our midfield is too static and doesn't support the strikers enough. Anderson with his deceptive change of pace helps to bridge that gap in the final third. He's given us yet another glimpse at the future of our midfield once Scholes retires. He just needs to show that consistency on a more regular basis.

agree mate.

Look Scholes will be almost done next season. Anderson and Cleverly and Carrick and Fletcher playing to their potential will be enough...and Rooney coming back...I cannot see any team getting the better of us.

Maybe people will start listening now. Also, another favourite of mine 'Anderson can't play in a midfield 2' can be layed to rest as well.

Am I dreaming or did he actually play the full 90 minutes today?

He was fantastic. We need him to keep that up if we want trophies this year, simple as.

Hes no Gibson thats for sure....

As 2 of the sternest defenders/fans of him i believe we deserve a special reward by the female users of the caf.....

Fullyagree, I've got a huge pile of Ironing that needs doing.

When he picks up the ball on the halfway line and does his surges forward it feels like anything can happen. He was fantastic today.

Calm down it's only one game.

In which he proved he had the talent, the ability to pass, control the midfield, and play in a midfield 2 whilst being defensive and driving the team forward from the middle. Now the only thing the lad has to prove to all the doubters is his consistency.

Best performance in years. Ok, it was against a shite team but if Ando can put in a shift like this he can turn around a lot of people. Looked the dogs bollacks today.

Ive run out of Jack Daniels and thats a serious problem.

I've still got half a bottle of lidls western gold plus a whole box of wine and 5 heneikens. My floors though could really do with a hoover.

You know everyone keeps talking about him replacing Scholes in CM but, he gives us something not Scholes, Carrick or anyone else does right now for us - which is carry the ball forward.

With acres of space in front of them, Carrick and Scholes, will choose to look for the pass and usually not drive at the defense. When a team sits back like they do often with us and you've got a player that can drive forward, pulling defenders to him - it opens up space.

It's one game in which Blackburn were very poor but, we certainly could use more of what Anderson provides when teams sit back instead of always trying to pick the perfect pass.

Just typical, on the one night im well in the mood to get absolutely sloshed and im out of alcohol!

Im in on a Saturday night without drink, football first and staring soberly at Sarah jane mee it is :)

But nothing is proved in one game or we could say that Berbatov is a better finisher than Ruud.

Did you watch the game?

Yeah I did...
Wasnt able to play a single pass without overhitting it.
He is too fat also and lacks creativity.

Maybe we should play him as left back.
I think the last sentence might destroy everything, but we will see

Which is why i said consistency is his next challenge, gets that down then maybe we can start having a look at his scoring.

Amazing performance, did everything I wanted of him, kept things simple and tried hard things on the break which paid off.

Must be some of the best through balls we've tried this season that have come through and Anderson made it look simple, Nani's assist was great, not to mention his pass through for Berbatov.

Awesome display and I hope he keeps this up.

Well he had more than just one excellent performance for us you absolute weapon.
Had no luck with injuries and clearly needs a run of games and then I'm sure we will see the best of him.

More chance in goal i reckon, (sorry for not seeing the sarcasm)

More of the same please anderson. Those passing stats are incredible as was his pass for Nani's goal.

Another good sign is that he completed 90 minutes and didn't look his usual collapsing with tiredness self.

Yes that was great to see, hopefully he gets more starts and cann build on this.

Carrick and Rooney had like 100 passes each also. I mean not as high success ratio, but yeah Blackburn were shit, but this is the type of game Anderson needed, but watch him play ok-ish next, get subbed off, and not be seen again for 4 weeks.....which is the biggest problem for him, he's never given consistent 90 minutes.

The best thing imo was his desire to get on the ball and dictate play. Which sometimes he shies away from doing.
