West Ham United vs Manchester United [30/Nov/2010]

Time for Fletch to get the hook, IMO. Get Carrick on and start to use the ball a bit more. Bebe can get in behind Ben Haim given the right service.

The more experienced players (Giggs, Fletcher, O'Shea, Evans) have let the team down so far... we need to improve seriously to not get knocked out tonight.
Anderson and Fletcher have done very little to protect the back four so far. The West Ham players are basically allowed to walk through our defence...

Amazed how many late west ham challenges the ref is letting go. United aren't upto much at the back, o'shea in particular, but west ham are just kicking us about the park.

The back 4 look scared to get close and the midfield is just passing us by. Changes at Half Time for once please.

You know your having a bad day when Boa Morte's having a decent game vs you and Spector scores 2

If not for Green we would have one goal easily. We can comeback but we look so absolutely woeful at the back that I can't see us scoring 2 without conceding.

Brown for Fabio, Carrick and Park for Obertan and Bebe please.

Can't see this being turned around with the lineup on the pitch at the moment. It's only the Carling Cup, but I do like that unbeaten record.

It looks cold out there. That is the excuse I favour.

Lads you are a joke. Fabio fecked up for the goal and gave the ball away more than JOS, who also had a few nice passes. Typical CAF selective criticism.

In the past it has pissed me off massively when people give O'Shea massive amounts of stick for average games.

Quite frankly he has been appalling. Shite defending shite going forward.

Think Fletcher has been really poor tonight. Really poor. It's a shame as well. Think we need to switch to a proper 4-4-2. I wouldn't mind putting Fletcher on the right, Bebe up front with Chica and gigs in the centre with Obertan outwide. Fletchers not doing his job tonight.

Overall a good performance, mired by a unlucky slip by Rafael and a poor tracking job from the midfield. We keep creating chances.

Delighted that we rested all our key players though. There is an injury there somewhere for us the way West Ham have decided to play Rugby today.

Oh and a Walcott challenge on Moses lead to him being stretched off with an oxygen mask. Did the tackle result in the injury? Or did he land awkwardly?

Personally I wouldn't change anyone. Our defence isn't stable but you can't really fix that, and we'are capable of getting in dangerous positions.

No changes at half time please.

Even if we improve I doubt we are going to win this tie. Its a home game for them and their crowd is getting louder. Unless we had Rooney, Berbatov and Nani to come on at HT, I think we are looking at our first loss this season.

West Ham will come out and shit themselves, try hold on to the lead so we'll get to attack for the whole second half..

I'd leave it as is for 10-15 minutes, dont think Bebe and Obertan have been overly bad & big powerful runners with decent feet, both of them.

C'mon Utd....

"It definitely touches Spector and it was probably the right decision"

Why only probably when we've established it definitely touched him?!

Would be nice seeing Brown come on and see Ben Haim and Boa Morte try and rough him up.

None of our players has impressed yet, maybe only the exception of Anderson.

O'Shea is showing a scapegoat performance, he played so badly that he had to move to LB.

Fabio with a bad slip, a Boa Morte Challenge could have been worse but I'm glad the boy can still run.

Evans is not confident again and just didn't look interested with the ball over his head.

Fletch should have done better for the 1st goal, oh well you don't often see Spector perform that well...

Hernandez has lacked service, understandable performance for me.

Giggs hasn't been that bad, would be much better on the left imo.

If things continue this way I would love to see JOS being subbed for an attacking fullback and maybe we need Carricks creativity for Fletchers stamina.

That's been pretty poor defensively. No pressure on the ball. And one of our most experienced players didn't track the runner for the first goal. Schoolboy stuff at times.

I'm really disappointed that we've lost the midfield considering the respective line ups. Anderson has played well and Bebe and Obertan have sporadically flickered but Fletcher and Giggs have been quite poor.

Hernandez is never going to get a look in as a lone striker, when the midfield are so ineffective.

That said, we still carved chances out. West Ham will get nervy if we can get the next goal. I'd get Macheda on up front to support Hernandez and get Carrick on for Fletcher.

Won't turn it around - fate to lose our unbeaten record to a shyte team.

He's not been the worst though. Our entire defense has been a bit rubbish. But O'Shea is on 80k a week :nervous:

This is alot like the Villa game, they are getting at us quick and tackling hard. Our players don't seem able to rise above it some times. But Boa Morte is treading a very fine line he has been every where, but his tackles have been shocking.

OShea is having a total mere again, Giggs is largely quite....I'd take them two off personally.
