World Cup 2018 & 2022 bids

Basically, it's my ball....and I'm taking it home with me.

Fair enough, but surely there is varying degrees of extreme-heatness.

Yes, I feel extreme heat when a stunning looking girls talks to me...but I try to play it cool. But then again, I'm hot then I'm cold, I'm yes and then I'm no, I'm up and then I'm down...

I see, you couldn't have explained it any more clearly.

If England only got 2 votes because of the media than what did Australia do wrong in the 2022 category to get only 1 vote? What did the USA do wrong to get only 3 votes in the first round to Qatar's 11?

Whats worse is, a year or so ago Australia were thinking of dropping out as they believed they had no chance of winning and no one would vote for them. Blatter convinced them to carry on. What for?

Free dinners at Tetsuya?

You change your mind like a girl changes clothes, Phelan.

A helluva lot, high humidity = lots of sweating, lots of sweating = loss of bodily water, loss of bodily water = dehydration.

Under conditions of high humidity, the evaporation of sweat from the skin decreases, and the body's efforts to maintain an acceptable body temperature may be significantly impaired. Also, if the atmosphere is as warm as or warmer than the skin during times of high humidity, blood brought to the body surface cannot shed heat by conduction to the air, and a condition called hyperpyrexia results. With so much blood going to the external surface of the body, relatively less goes to the active muscles, the brain, and other internal organs. Physical strength declines, and fatigue occurs sooner than it would otherwise. Alertness and mental capacity also may be affected, resulting in heat stroke or hyperthermia.
Sweating decreases in high humidity.

Football is not politics, it's sport.
Football is the sport. Not the running of football.

They have treated it as politics.....your assessment of how they work indicates that.
My assessment simply states that football has government. I know no governing body that isn't political. Be it a noble a prize giving one or a board room one.

FIFA is a professional body that is there to do the best for football. They should do their job in a professional way. They should choose the hosts for the WC on merit, based on the criteria they themselves have set out.
They are professional. It's not their fault some participants think only their technical merits can win them votes.

If they are selecting the hosts on anything other than those criteria then they are being unprofessional.
So accoring to you every nation that elects its leaders is doing it in an unprofessional manner? Same as every AGM of a company?

The non-English today have been grumbling that we're bad losers because of our reaction to this
.....
Because its the truth. Your nation lost out on their bid because they were under cut by their own. It had nada to do with the process being problematic. But none of you want to accept it. Which is the real farce.

When you look at who got the 2022 tournament, you can rest assure England were never going ot get 2018 over Russia. The process isn't problematic. It's plain WRONG.

From what you're saying in your posts you think it's perfectly acceptable for FIFA to not do what is in the best interests of football players and fans because they're sulking at being found out and exposed for being corrupt.

Fair enough....but glad you're not on the FIFA exec committee, although you would be amongst like minded folk.

The only football fans moaning about going to Russia & Qatar are you lot. You think the football fans in the Middle East don't count as much as you. Is that it?

I'm not surprise you believe in that bullshit of ''merit only'' picking for hosting. If things were done your way a world cup would never have come to Africa. Or USA even.

UEFA should come together and give the finger to FIFA.

Without them all they have is a South American tournament.

The only way to get Blatter and his pimps out.

That is assuming Platini cares about us, which he most certainly doesn't.

You must be the only one who hasn't seen the headlines around the world - those who aren't angry are bemused.

I don't agree at all. I have little doubt prior to their stupid press opening their months, England were going to take Russia to the wire. And beat them there. The England bid team are not lying when they tell everyone they were promised votes yet almost at the last minute people turned backs on them. The 2022 race in comparison was just about sentiment. That is Qatar was always going to win.

So why the need to actually ban two of the voting members on the eve of the decision then?

What did the English media do wrong? Expose corruption? How dare they, the very idea a World Cup could go to such despicable fiends...

It has EVERYTHING to do with the process being bent to feck. That's not to say England would win it if it wasn't, and lets be fair revelations last year showed we were perfectly happy to play a form of the game ourselves, but to deny that corruption infests this whole process is so... so... well, typically you Rubberman
