That vast majorty of the bemused and angry headlines are from your press. But I'm sure you haven't noticed. You must be the only one who hasn't seen the headlines around the world - those who aren't angry are bemused.
You're just bitter cos you don't have central heating yet.
Erm what..you feck up your own election campaign and now it's the fault of the process that you don't get elected?Erm...

Bribing my foot. They had all hosted the tournament and they couldn't rely one each other for votes. Meanwhile Qatar hadn't hosted it before and could rely on trying to win votes from South America, Africa and Europe. When we add to that the fact USA is USA. Their chances of wining ahead of Qatar were far from great. What has USA, Australia, Japan or Korea done to feck up their election campaigns? Except not bribing the votes, obviously.
Sure I believe they should be picked on merit.....so do FIFA or they wouldn't have selected any criteria. Only trouble with FIFA is that weren't controlled enough to prevent personal prejudice and corruption from getting in the way of objectivity.
The only football fans moaning about going to Russia & Qatar are you lot. You think the football fans in the Middle East don't count as much as you. Is that it?
I'm not surprise you believe in that bullshit of ''merit only'' picking for hosting. If things were done your way a world cup would never have come to Africa. Or USA even.
I'm right about every thing else though.Nope...you're wrong there....Australia had not hosted the WC.
If they did as you say then there wouldn't be any point in voting. Fifa would just pick and chose who they wanted to host tournaments & there'd be nothing remotely fair about that. Democracy has it's price too. It ain't fun to be on the receiving end of it.Sure I believe they should be picked on merit.....so do FIFA or they wouldn't have selected any criteria. Nothing wrong with Australia's location for the Olympics...it's not moved since then either.I'm right about every thing else though.
If anything I bet it's Australia's location that counted against them more than any thing else.

What are you saying now? You're actually agreeing with me.If they did as you say then there wouldn't be any point in voting. Fifa would just pick and chose who they wanted to host tournaments & there'd be nothing remotely fair about that. Democracy has it's price too. It ain't fun to be on the receiving end of it.
The 2022 race in comparison was just about sentiment. That is Qatar was always going to win.
I don't agree at all. I have little doubt prior to their stupid press opening their months, England were going to take Russia to the wire. And beat them there. The England bid team are not lying when they tell everyone they were promised votes yet almost at the last minute people turned backs on them. The 2022 race in comparison was just about sentiment. That is Qatar was always going to win.
What happened to the Spanish bid then? Their's was very good and would have been a worthy winner and their press said nada.
SSN are now saying that in the first round Platini voted for Holland. In the 2nd round he voted for Russia despite Holland still being in the running.
Ruddy twit can even make his mind up who he wants. That or he recieved a fat envelope in the middle of the voting process.

What. You'd have preferred them to wait?So why the need to actually ban two of the voting members on the eve of the decision then?
What did the English media do wrong? Expose corruption?
Then only thing bent is that some of you actually believe you dense prss were doing something noble. When they fecked you over good and proper. But trust you to blame it all on Fifa and the process rather than yourselves. You lot are as bad as politicians who lose elections down here.It has EVERYTHING to do with the process being bent to feck. That's not to say England would win it if it wasn't, and lets be fair revelations last year showed we were perfectly happy to play a form of the game ourselves, but to deny that corruption infests this whole process is so... so... well, typically you Rubberman
ExactlyThat was done for the specific purpose of knocking England out in Round 1 - it is very obvious when you think about it.
Well you assume wrongI assume you just mixed up the word 'sentiment' with 'money'.![]()
Or the idea was to take England out as soon as possible. Once that happened, he (and one more) could vote for Russia.
That is why it was stupid for the British press to go after allies of their nation's bid. With obvious enemies like Platini in the mix. Minus the press intervention England would have cleared the first round piss easily.Or the idea was to take England out as soon as possible. Once that happened, he (and one more) could vote for Russia.

Let me get this straight:
The British Press outs corrupt officials.
Fifa bans them.
Fifa officials then blame the press for the failure of England's bid.
And you think the problem is the the British Press?
Do you not think the problem just might be a flawed voting system and corrupt officials?
Yes I suppose it is when you realise petulant kids are doing the voting. That was done for the specific purpose of knocking England out in Round 1 - it is very obvious when you think about it.
I do. But I have even greater knowledge of sentimental Blatter. Who brought about world cup rotation to take the world cup to Africa and back to Brazil. Not to mention being instrumental in helping USA win the 1994 world cup over Morroco due to 'breaking new ground ina footballing desert' or whatever he called it at the time. Thanks to that version of him the Qatari are very happy indeed.well you have little knowledge of "kickback Blatter" then![]()

The problem is that corruption is considered to be accepatable at FIFA and we are very norty for mentioning it.Let me get this straight:

Right, 1.4m Qataris are happy whilst how many hundreds of millions are furious?
Blatter sells to the highest bidder...end off.
the old pedo will whore his own grandaughter.
