Premier League Fixtures (26 - 29 Dec)

Wigan are going to get reamed and Arsenal will go on a run of victories. They always do after getting a big result like they did against Chelsea. They've also got the easiest fixtures remaining out of the teams chasing the title. They're the team to beat this season. Was I the only one hoping Chelsea would beat them the other day?

Better them than City

When they win it'll be a "gritty" performance, rather than one that involved kicking lumps out of the team trying to play football.

The dirtiness will all be forgotten now, the only thing that will be mentioned during the media wankathon is the 'new found determination' that they've been missing which is arsenal tinted spectacles for 'kicking lumps out of the opposition'.

No, you weren't, I hoped for a Chelsea victory as well. It's between us and Arsenal this season with us slight favorites.

That throw-in by thr Wigan right-back has fecked the whole half up for the Latics. They were 1-0 up and Arsenal didn't look anything like scoring, but were handed a very good opportunity on a plate with Arshavin finishing it off nicely to be fair. After that it was only Arsenal playing... feck. Can't see Wigan coming from behind now.
Chelsea have been terrible. They lack basically everything, it's like they suddenly turned to utter wank.

I'd have us as slight favourites too but that's mainly because I'm an eternal optimist. Looking at the fixture lists, if I was a neutral I'd put my money on Arsenal.

Thankfully I'm not neutral though so feck them, here's hoping they bottle it.

Yeah I wanted a draw or for Chelsea to win. I can even accept Chelsea winning the league but never Arsenal.

Hopefully Arsenal drop points in one of their next two games.

True, true. But I already hope City lose every game.

That's the problem with supporting United. They're the good guys who have to keep fighting off multiple villains that just seem to get more and more obnoxious. It's exhausting!

What happened to that Torres bird, I seem to recall she used to be pretty good at this football lark, she seems to be invisible now

I said to an Arsenal guy in work today that the sooner Chelsea and City are out of the picture, and it's a straight fight between us and Arsenal, then the better. He agreed, he said he wanted the good old days of us and Arsenal going at it for the title.

Chelsea are deeply in crisis, and are only a few bad results away from being out the race. City, for the squad they have, don't have the experience of a title fight. I hope it's between us and Arsenal.

... It's between us and Arsenal this season with us slight favorites.
That's bollocks ... it's self-evident that there are more than just 2 teams in contention for the title. A look at the table makes this obvious.

Im hoping the matches against Barcelona will derail any momentum Arsenal get from their upcoming matches which on paper look easy enough.

Either that or getting knocked out of Europe early will allow them to focus their efforts on the league.

feck, I'm in a negative mood tonight :(

Did you see Arsenal's piss easy fixture list last year? Did you see how they bottled it?

And they have hard games at home if not away.

Random thing, but hearing the name Zubar has reminded me of when we played West Brom either last season or the one before and a guy with a similar name went on a really good run and smashed a shot against the post.

No, there aren't. City aren't going to get to 80pts mark, neither are you and by the look of thing Chelses have gone crap too - besides with 31 pts in 18 games they'd have to win more than 50 out of 60 possible in the remaining fixtures.

Spurs, city and Chelsea as well do you think or will any of them not be challenge in the end?

Ahh thanks for injecting some much-needed optimism. I remember it now, it really was as easy as it gets and they somehow managed to feck up. At one point I was quite certain they'd win the league because our fixtures were so much more difficult.

And no, Tottenham have absolutely no chance of winning the league, Defoe isn't going to be a top scorer and Bale's not winning WPOTY ahead of Xavi, Iniesta and Messi, you aren't going to win the CL either.

Yeah City won't do anything. They've got incredibly hard away fixtures in the 2nd half of the season.

Between us and Arsenal and Chelsea who I yet believe will come back in form at some point. Anyone but Arsenal please!

Not even the most biased Spurs fan can honestly say he/she believes Spurs or Bolton have a chance.

Granted it's a three of four horse race IMO but surely you're not trying to once again overrate Spurs?

I think I have a problem; I have an unhealthy hatred for John Terry. It's not right to be so riled and angered by just the mere sight of somebody you don't even know, but just flicking to the Chelsea stream and seeing him shouting to somebody made me want to punch something.

Bolton have a better chance than Spurs tbf

RUN!!

Again, the 80pts thing - Chelsea will find it incredibly hard to get past that, it'd take 17 wins in the last 20 games, well they would have to find that form very very soon.

A shame Everton lost all the form this season, they would def. be around Spurs and Chelsea if so. a "normal" Everton would have.

Yes. I was really worried as well last year. They had an amazingly easy run in and yet somehow messed it up.

I yet fear Arsenal but I'm relying on them to bottle it again when the time comes because I honestly can't stand them winning the league. :nervous:

We all overrate our own teams at some point or the other.

I have the same problem.

I think the issue is just simply that he is a giant twat.

They have Bale.
