Exactly! 68, 99, 08, and not a single one against Borussia Mönchengladbach, Brugge, or Roma either.
It's stupid, because we were the first English team to enter the competition, against the wishes of the FA, and may or may not have won it if it hadn't been for Munich. Even still, we were still the first English club to win it. It's as I said earlier, Liverpool had a single golden era, which is a nothing in the great scheme of things. They base their entire history on a 15-20 year spell of history, Manchester United do not.

Liverpool's Premier League shock 2-1 defeat by Blackpool was further compounded when the players were forced to endure cold showers because the Bloomfield Road boiler had broken down.
Funny that at this rate, in the end, it could be dalglish who truly knocks the scousers off their perch.
RAWK blaming refs? Who would have thought it!Has anyone mentioned Dowd and assistants are all uber c*nts?
They're all saying "Sell Skrtel" today
When Senior Fatty was there, Skrtel (sp?) was the best defender ever.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson accuses Liverpool's under-performing players for getting Roy Hodgson the sack - News - MirrorFootball.co.uk
That should cheer them up.
Have been saying it for weeks, far too easy too pin all the blame on Hodgson.
Torres for one needs to take a long hard look at himself.
If he suddenly turns it on now Dalglish is in charge it doesn't say a lot for his professionalism.
not really, he's been subpar since Rafa's last season.
A worse player now then when we first signed him. Don't know what happened to him but he's not good enough anymore.
Im sorry but the officials are a joke, torres was kicked all over the park...
You think he's been a model professional then?
Sounds like you're setting up the perfect no lose scenario.
Hodgson is to blame, yeah. Just keep saying it enough and it will come true.
Good on the players, I say.
I would have done the same.

I would have done the same.
How can he be blamed then ?
thought of always asking you this. what was your opinion on Roy when he came in.
Let's blame him for his shit tactics, shit signings, shit media utterances and general defeatist and vain approach to the job.
Blaming the players doesn't detract from the fact that there's blame enough to go around for Hodgson to still be woefully inadequate in the job.
No, I think the players collectively have to shoulder a fair amount of blame. And Torres is no exception. He's looked among the least interested under Hodgson's tenure.

Maxi is decent, should be a squad player but we don't have any better.
Agger is a very good player perpetually plagued by injuries.
Jovanic, Babbel, Skretl - shit.
Cole, Torres, Carra - all looked out of sorts.
Kuyt I think is finished as a player as this level. He's lost too much.
Gerrard has been playing fairly well this season and can't be faulted for lack of effort either, even if he hasn't been a world beater. There are limits to what you can do surrounded by dross. But certainly an improvement on last season.
What we really really need is a top class centreback and a top class central midfielder. That will go a long way towards alleviating the worst of our ilness. And then a top class wide player and a quality squad rotating striker (I'm thinking Crouch level). I think that would put us back on par with the top 4 contenders.
We're still another centreback, quality leftback and a good midfielder and another quality wide player short of a title challenge though.
FSG are gonna have to put out some big money over the next 18 months (including this window) if they want us solidly back in top 4 contention.
Good on the players, I say.
I would have done the same.
He never was.

How would you describe Rafa's character at the helm?
Get off your high horse, all you were missing was 'Meester Fergusson' and 'EVerton are a small club', and saying 'You'll never walk alone'.
Benitez knew how to play the fans, and you blokes were writing Harry Potter eulogies to the Spaniard.
