Manchester United v Birmingham

Very good performance, our front 4 were excellent, great movement and awareness of each other. I thought Birmingham would be grittier but the very early goal knocked the steam straight out of them.

Phat Dolan keeps going on about how shit he thinks Smalling is. I'd love to know how many times he's watched him

How can people like him get into the media,I don't know

Even if you havent you're posts seem otherwise tbh. Good for you if you havent though. He's been brilliant.
He has indeed. I was criticising him on three specific occasions (and two of them weren't even criticism, merely observations (that the finish wasn't "unlucky" as someone said, and that Rooney last season would've smashed that ball instead of trying to side-foot it into the net) of his performance) and people are getting all high and mighty and "hey watch your tongue, he's been brilliant!!", something which I never disagreed with.

As I said you were singling out the odd rooney mistake which is part and parcel of the game, and pretty much every player made, so it seemed an agenda driven tirade.

As I said, I mentioned nothing about his performance in general. His long range passing was absolutely spot on, I don't see what's controversial about those three things I mentioned.

It's the fact that on a day he played really well and had a hand in several goals, you're only interested in putting the boot in about moments when he's not got something right.

Because his attitude towards other players stunk. That was the only instance in which I was criticising him, the others were observations just like saying "Shit cross from Nani", which many people today did.

Edit: I just didn't see Rooney's attitude towards Nani justified, when he managed to miss an inch-perfect cross from him. Of course he will look to pass elsewhere if Rooney hasn't got his scoring boots on. I can understand that Berba, who was on fire today (scoring-wise) being pissed off at not getting the ball in great positions from Nani (namely the one where Nani didn't spot him with the low cut-back when he came in with a late run), but to moan at him for looking at other avenues with his crosses? I don't see the justification.

OK, getting boring now... Nani was largely crap all day apart from a good cross and a good goal. People slagged him off forn the constant crapness and complimented him for the good bits. You've picked out the very few negative moments from Wayne's match for comment.

And yes he should have put that sitter away, but anyone playing with Nani would have got pissed off with him today.

.

Owen blasted Berbatov as well

Alright. I'll agree that Rooney was unlucky to miss that header and that, given his ability to score from all angles at the moment, he was righly pissed off with Nani for Nani not aiming at Rooney with every cross, and being generally poor with his end product today, as Rooney would've scored a hat-trick had Nani's crossing and passing been as good as Rooney's was today.

if by other avenues, you mean passing to other players then you are right. But here, he managed to waste several crossing opportunities in succession to be disappointed about.

I thought the scouser wanted out, not Nani:confused. I´m on Makkis side even though I didn´t see the game:mad:. Rooney let United down in the autumn so it will take a while for me to forgive him, sorry.

one among them should have been definitely put in.
btw wasn't the incident where rooney moans, before he had these opportunities.
Well, it wasn't really an isolated incident, him moaning at Nani, and I doubt I'd worded the original post in that way if it was before the missed header. But it was before the side-foot over the bar.

Great result and performance from the lads.

I predicted 4-0 and Berbatov to score, so I wasn't far off. If only we could get Rooney on the goal-scoring trail now of last season, we'd be flying away.

What are you, 12? If you comment solely on a player's mistakes or bad points when he's had an excellent game, you will irritate people, it's that simple.

I heard he had an excellent game and fair play to him for that. He wanted out though and everyone aren´t as forgiven as you and most other in here. In fact he said that the club that made him a worldbeater was wank and the players were so inferior to him. I´ll forgive him IF he´s here next season. Until then he is no better than the filth from Merseyside where he origin from the scouse twat

And I'm the one who is pulled up on it and causing outrage, rather than the one who wrote that he didn't want to celebrate Nani's goal because he'd pissed him off. Some people need to get some perspective and take off their blinkers. Rooney's attitude stinks, and the way he takes it out on his team-mates when he should be taking some of it out on himself, is IMO disgusting. He did have a good game apart from in the scoring department, and I'll admit that I haven't lapped up his bullshit since he kicked up a fuss in order to get an improved contract, which he hasn't justified so far, so I am more inclined to demand more from him, especially in the scoring department.

It's not that long since people were moaning at Berbatov because he wasn't scoring enough goals, but Rooney's immune to that sort of criticism on here.

Nani had a pretty dreadful game up until the last twenty minutes or so, there really was little to talk about apart from his errors. Obviously the not celebrating comment was also ridiculous.

feck it mate, we should be celebrating being top of the league after a great performance. I promise I´ll leave Rooney alone;)

he was the most frustrating player today.

I know he likes to play on teh right, but I and I am sure Rooney cannot wait for Valencia to play again.

Numerous times I saw Berba and Rooney raising their arms in frustration. Having said that, that goal an almost replica of his goal against Stoke was a beauty.

Was looking at the Chalkboards
Evra's heatmap
