Could you make the OP a little smaller Youngie? The logos I mean. Make it simpler.

P.S. Maciek does it better. And he's going to rape your armpits in a pique of rage.

Ha ha...Ive been patiently waiting an hour or so for some muppet to start the thread just so that I could casually mention Ive got tickets...."If you want a job done properly do it yourself!" as Andy Gray used to say.

Ps I nicked his United badge too! (chortle)

Looking forward to it, I really want to see us win the cup again.

Will be interesting to see who starts this one, especially with the game against Villa coming up. I can't see Giggs playing in both, unless we find ourselves behind like we did yesterday. I figure Scholes will be rested for this one, with Anderson and Fletcher starting in midfield. Is Park back for this one, or is it too soon?

Ando is definitely not going to start for this one. It will be Gibson starting for sure and one of Fletcher, Carrick. Park will be back but he might be rested due to his long travel. Obertan will also start for sure. I m excited to see Lindegaard though. Hopefully he will get a run.

Southampton have a decent side - much better than when we last played them. It shouldn't be too much of a problem, especially as their defence is slow as. I'd go for one of Hernandez and Owen to exploit it.

Will be interesting to see what the line up is at the weekend.

I expect Evans, Smalling, Fabio and Lindegaard to start. Obertan has a very good chance of starting too. Will be interesting to see where Obertan starts if he does start. Mostly played as a winger for the first team, but very much an AMC/ST for the reserves. Could see him start as part of a front 3. Brown and O'Shea will likely come into contention too.

Could see a back five of Lindegaard, Brown, Smalling, Evans, O'Shea - with Fabio playing in midfield, as he has done for the reserves on a number of occasions.

One or both of Chico/Owen will start - not sure if Fergie will play both together. Will be interesting to see if he starts Rooney to try and help him gain some confidence in his game.

Lack of options on the wing though. Giggs won't start imo - will be held back for the Villa game on Tuesday. Nani is the only other senior winger we have, so I wonder if he will start - no other options but will Fergie try to rest him? Again, this is where Fabio playing on the wing could be an option.

Could see us going 433 again, similar to last night, but dropping Nani for Obertan (amongst other changes).

Can't think of any of the reserve team that I would expect to be on the fringes of this game. Pogba, maybe, but i don't know. Morrison would be one I would love to see, but no chance of that happening imo.

Anyone know if Matt James is fit at the moment? Could see him come into contention for an appearance in midfield if he is. Haven't seen him play for the reserves though so I presume he is out injured.

How will Park be back? He has a game in Qatar the day before.

Anderson, O'Shea, Hernandez and Giggs are the certain starters here.

I would like to see:

Kuszczak

O'Shea
Brown
J. Evans
Fabio

Obertan
Anderson
Gibson
Giggs (c)

Owen
Hernandez

Subs:
Lindegaard
G. Neville
Smalling
Fletcher
Scholes
Bébé
Josh King

you could obviously put Carrick or Ferdinand in the squad if fit, but if they're not I'm happy with that side.

Fergie said Giggs will rest in this one.
We need him totally fresh against Aston Villa, no doubts.

At the moment, the team I would pick is:

------------Hernandez---Owen---------
Obertan------Carrick---Gibson------Nani
Fabio----Smalling----Ferdinand----Brown
----------------Kuszczak---------------

Lindegaard, O'Shea, Evans, Anderson, Fletcher, Bebe, Berbatov.

PS. I think Kuszczak is still second choice, Lindegaard was on the bench yesterday, because Kuszczak came to Poland for Euro 2012 meeting, he has something to do with that. However, it's matter of time when Lindegaard becomes our second goalie.

Can't understand why people are suggesting comparatively weak sides with little real quality on the Bench. We often come unstuck when we do this.

I don't subscribe to it, get the job done then rest the key players...

Team should be...

GK: PIG

RB: O'Shea
CB: Smalling
CB: Evans
LB: Fabio

RM: Nani
CM: Gibson
CM: Scholes
LM: Anderson

CF: Owen
CF: Hernandez

Subs: Lindegaard, Neville, Brown, Obertan, Fletcher, Bebe, Rooney

No idea of the score but we'll go through. Reckon Hernandez will get at least 1 though

Rooney should play in this one. Earlier in the season people were talking about how he needed to be in the side so he could play his way back into form. Well, here's the ideal game for that.

This is the FA Cup, not the Mickey one. Fergie will put out a strong side enough to win it. Rooney needs games and will definitely play. Perhaps Vidic, Giggs and Berbatov will be given the day off. Rio should start if he's fit.

I want us to do well in the FA Cup - but I'd still rather see van der Sar, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Scholes, Giggs, and Berbatov not starting. If it goes our way, we can probably get Obertan, Brown, and Owen more time on the pitch. If not, we'd probably still get Owen and Obertan on the pitch xD (just maybe seeing if Giggs can work his magic again if we're losing, instead of brwning people).
