This guy is too good for them, they can't blame him for wanting to go south. A player of his calibre should be winning trophies every year and not carrying a team of donkeys. He didn't look interested this year, he looked sad actually, but the Suarez deal might have changed a few things in the last 12 hours.

He can certainly win things with them, and what you say about rebuilding around him makes sense. It's just... they're Chelsea. He might as well go to Real.

Real are hated arch-rivals of his boyhood club.

He left his boyhood club for silverware, sure, but he left them for another league where he was unlikely to have to play against them.

I don't think he has the sort of attachment to LFC that LFC supporters have pretended he does (his disinterested performances of the last 18 months have proven that).

So going to Chelsea, who are hated rivals of LFC (who he may well feel have 'let him down' in their transfer dealings and management decisions), is not a big deal to him. Certainly not what moving to a club you hated as a boy would be.

Fair play to him - whoever signs him will get themselves a top top player (as long as he can stay fit)

Reds reject Torres request | Sky Sports | Liverpool News | Football | Premier League

Did somebody say "Shirt burning time?"

it is such an insult

not wanting to play under the KING

how dare you to***s?

you are nothing but a liar

Gotta love their delusions that Torres would give two fecks about Kenny Dalglish.

Without overstating football per se, this is like the death of a loved family member. Someone whose company you idolised daily. The person who you relied on to put food on the table and make you feel secure. The natural process in life is that these people will be replaced, fresh blood always comes through. The birth of a new member to be revered in future years - but for now there's no consolation. I just want my Nando.

Be great if the deal doesn't get done before then window closes

I think he did.

Ronaldo was a bit of a cnut about it (the whole slave thing especially).

At least he pissed off to Spain though.

Ronaldo is a much better player, regardless, he was a bit cnutish with that remark, but the outrageous thing was that Blatter backed him up on it, that is why it was such big news. As for handing in a transfer request I dont think he ever did after 2007-8 when he almost left, and then it seemed the deal after he left after 08-09 was done in January, so I dont think he ever turned in a transfer request.

Not as legendary as the Suarez video. But borderline.

I don't prefer to sell him now

I want to see him suffer

I don't even want him to play in the reserves

I want him to train every day and for no one to see him

I don't care if he's worth less...so long as his form deteiorates

I would prefer him to go to Chelsea than a Spanish league so he is forced to endure all the boos from us

I am glad I never bought any Torres merchandise...and stuck to plain Liverpool items

I now respect Pepe Reina so much more...actually maybe even Babel...

If he leaves, I will no longer get scared of him getting tackled/injured...in fact I may be secretly happy

If I ever see him sulking again...I will just look at him like a sore loser

I hate him

I love him

No I hate him...

I seriously would blame no one else other than david villa, I really do believe his spannish team mates have had a role in this...decision.. Think about it... Torres was happy with liverpool even if the current situation. His 'friends' phone him during last week...'hows things'.... Torres 'yer not bad, we're getting back on track had hard season but getting there, I'm ok and happy, content..'

David villa: ah...haha..ok ok...don't say I didn't warn you...
Torres: 'no hehe..it's good team they close to me..I like em..you dont understand
Villa: Don't blame me..its up to you..you have bright future...look at where i am..

Torres: We have daglish..hes doing really good, hes awesome

Villa: who??,,,,who's daglish...heheheheh hahahahah who thew hell is he..never heard of him.. (VILLA obviously a scum and don't know football legends of the UK) - typical..eh..

Torres: no he's legend...he's really good...you not heard of him..

Vulla: Not sure...hmm....anyway.....you should join a team whoi can win trophies

I could jsut imagine a conversation like that between Torres and His clsoe closer friends...villa, and other spannish players who like to spoil things.

:lol::lol::lol:

The treacherous c*nt wants out? feck him, let him go.

Let him go to that tawdry, two bob shithole. He'll never be welcome back in the hallowed halls of Anfield.

The King is changing things for the better. Everyone can feel it. With Luis and one or two more signings we'll be a serious force next year.
The Mancs and those nouveau riche twats in London better start worrying.

Next year, lads. It's going to happen next year.

per se - adv. Entirely negates preceding clause.

I've no actual idea of what's going on in the Torres saga, but to be quite honest, whatever happens, Torres can't be blamed at all....Whilst our prized loyal goat Rooney looked ready to bolt after one season of mere single trophy success, Fernando has endured 4 years of abject misery on merseyside...giving the "proud Kop" as much loyalty as could possibly be expected of a European & World Cup winning World Class striker.....

Seriously, I wish we had someone as loyal as that...someone that good who'd stayed with us through actual turmoil whilst they waited for the good times to come...

For the scousers to actually claim he's a scumbag traitor is fecking rich..the boy deserves so much more than that club's present predicament, and he's been nothing but loyal up to this point....So in fact, none of them have any right to have any beef with this AT ALL....it's nothing like Rooney, or even Gerrard. This is completely understandable and any backlash is spasticated...

Hurt or whatever..you have no beef here Liverpool. He deserves better, not the other way round.

Completely agree.

"My head is in Liverpool and on helping save our season. I am professional and I always fulfil my deals."

Torres Jan 9.

Should have kept his mouth shut all the same.
