Anyone on rawk thought to try to justify last nights match being thousands under capacity. How come the biggest club in England can't fill it's tincey ground with king kenny having ridden in to lead them to the title?

My dad is 75 and he has nowhere near the hatred for Man Utd that I do. It's always Leeds and Everton for him albeit he used to go and watch the blues every other week with my blue uncles and vice versa.

United is the closest club DNA wise to Liverpool. Good support, home and away, good songs, big history and that's probably why both sets of fans hate each other !!

Whatever the rivarly is between the two clubs, I have massive amounts of respect for Liverpool. They are a proper football club unlike Chelsea or City.
 
Pfft. I despise them. I respect them more than city for their history, but it's fecking Liverpool. Horrible cnuts. Some people seem to forget quickly that this is the same Liverpool that had 9,000 fans belting out Munich songs at OT in the cup in January.

There has never been any "96 was not enough" or " Murderers"chants from our lot?

I find it hard not to respect their history and some of their ex players. But thats just because I love football and I can see beyond just Manchester Utd.

Perhaps if I was Mancunian the hate would be far stronger though.

Arent you Irish Feeky? How does one develop such hatred and local rivalry when living over here?

Yes there has, though Hillsborough songs are often shouted down and never reach the frequency or are sung by the same amount of people as Munich songs. I never denied there was cnuts on both sides. Heysel songs are a different story.

What's me being Irish got to do with it? I see United about 8 times a year, I've been to several United-Liverpool matches and I have strong roots in Manchester. Why shouldn't I reserve the right to hate them as much as someone living in Manchester?
