Manchester United v Crawley Town

Why are they spreading the Champions league over 2 weeks again?

Spurs are in action on Weds night and we're a week later

That's a new standard, to enable people to watch more games. I love that actually, never been a fan of previous congestion when you had four games on the same day and potentially two big clashes at the exact same time. When we played Milan in 2005, I think Chelsea v Barcelona was on the same day.

We should be able to beat Crawley comfortably with our U21 side. For them to even come to play here is a massive deal, they will try hard to make themselves proud.

Would rather we played an entire under 21 side than half under 21s and half first teamers, it's always going to be difficult playing with players you've never played with in your life which is why we've struggled in these kind of ties before. I think the younger players often feel like they can't express themselves when there are veterans telling them off for every mistake they make and making them feel like a naughty little school boy in the process.

Obviously in an ideal world Park or Valencia would be back for a 4-4-2 but I have a horrible feeling the dreaded 4-5-1 will be back in force, mostly because it's obvious Fergie doesn't trust Bebe to start games anymore.

I want to see King and Morrison, Matty James as well if he's fit. For me the most likely to make it so would be good to give them Old Trafford experience.

No way Carrick will be risked for this game.

With our injuries at the back & games coming thick & fast I've just got a feeling we'll see an experimental side. If we don't give some kids a chance against Crawley at OT (even though it's the F.A. Cup) at this stage of the season I'll be surprised.

want to see bebe play to see how much progress he has made.

agreed sam

I would like to look at obertan to see if he has come on any?

I feel lindergaard will start in goal

Fabio Smalling Brown O Shea

Obertan Gibson Anderson Bebe

Owen Hernandez

But it wouldnt surprise me if the under 21s play

7-0 I reckon

Really hope gibbo won't start this game, rather see some youth with potential or some with experience. Gibbo is neither.

4-1 to United. Goals by Owen (2x), Gibson and Chicharito

Linegaard
Brown - Smalling - Evans - Fabio

Norwood - Gibson - Park

Obertan - Owen - Bebe

It's not what I want to see but I'm predicting something like that. Even after the Southampton game Ferguson said he shouldn't have messed around with the tactics and it was his fault but I reckon that was just him taking the heat off his players.

He'll want to play 4-3-3 against such a low side and I think it could work if we played something like above but with Anderson or Carrick who can hold on to the ball and have, albeit different styles, a good level of distibution instead of Gibson but I can't see Gibson not playing.

I think he'll also want to make sure Obertan and Bebe are involved and with both being "strikers" of some description instead of wingers I think they'll play Owen in the hole behind them which against that low a side is potentially a good strikeforce as it has pace to burn.

I would like to think some reserve/academy will get a run out. Morrison and Pogba on the bench at least.

Would have been the perfect match to bring Hargreaves back into competetive matches if he hads recovered. He could come in 15 mins before the end. Then 30 mins at wigan.

That's 45 minutes he could spend being dead.

Can see us going pretty young with this one - and playing entirely women, in a fit of arrogance.

I don't think Fergie will take them too lightly, many an embarrassment has come from doing that in football.

I really want us to see us score a lot of goals for this one. Hopefully Owen will get one.

Morrison and Scholes in central midfield? Reece Brown and Gill?

I hope to see King in this match, superb in the reserves.
Forgot about Gibson initially, (I wonder why ) & I'd like to see what Morrison can do alongside Scholes. With Evans & Rio injured I think ressy defenders will get a chance. I'd like to see King too, but I reckon Hernandez & Owen need starts more, there's plenty of time for King.
