Why on earth can't Fergie make substituions slightly earlier or just make some more subs?! Hernandez is brilliant coming off the bench and we don't even get him on. Rubbish 2nd half from us.
I hate to say this but we play really ugly football away from home. I know football is so results oriented now but I'd like us to play entertaining brand of football, no matter what the outcome.

Fletch,Carrick,Gibbo were poor with Gibbo being the best of the midfielders.
Scholes was good when on and should have came on at 60 mins.
Rooney was our best attacker by far.

Marseille are very limited but our lacklustre midfield meant that even when we attacked their defence was full of energy. Rooney and Berbatov are not a partnership by any stretch of the imagination, and Hernandez was wasted on the bench for no apparent reason.

How many more games is Berbatov going to get in Europe? It's what 18 games since he's scored. He's just awful in the Champions League. I think if he does not score in the 2nd leg Fergie won't start him in any more games in Europe.

The difference in the tempo and orchestration in midfield when Scholes came on was very noticeable, he took charge and wanted the ball and made everyone play with more urgency, without him we lack a leader in there.
Smalling and Vidic were both excellent, such an assured performance from Smalling given his lack of experience, he won EVERYTHING in the air.
