Liverpool v Manchester United

Just watched highlights of Scuntorphe v United, Ferdinand was on the left.

I have to admit I also watched highlights of United v Rangers, but Rangers didn't even have a shot and couldn't see our defence. I wasted 5 minutes.

Im surprised there were 5 minutes of highlights from that one.

My scouse uncle seems to be pretty confident in beating us today, he's been winding me up since Tuesday. Even offered to bet me £50 they'd win.

Not really much of a prediction, we definately will not go 4-4-2 unless the game is getting away from us.

We played 442 against chelsea, I would say that we will play 442 with giggs on left and carrick fletcher in middle.

The following is NOT our line-up, just my guess:

GK: Van der Sar

RB: Rafael
CB: Ferdinand
CB: Smalling
LB: Evra

CM: Carrick
CM: Fletcher
LM: Giggs
RM: Nani

CF: Rooney
CF: Berbatov.

COME ON UNITED!!

Really would not surprise me if Fergie was bluffing over Rio

I read yesterday that Park was taking part in a late fitness test, and of course we were told Rio wouldn't feature.

Both have travelled though, I think Park on the bench and Rio to start.

He shouldn't start unless fully fit. He wasn't fully fit last time and Torres skinned him for the goal.

Well - no Torres today - and in fairness few other than Torres would have skinned him in that situation

Eurosport are predicting that utd will play 451.

It has hardly worked this season if it is Berbatov up front on his own and Rooney out wide. 4-5-1 only usually works for us with Rooney up front and Nani and Valencia/Park supporting him.

Hopefully we play 4-4-2 and go at them.

Anyone with a lot of pace, basically. Don't know how quick Suarez is in comparison.

How many strikers in the game has Torres' pace and skills with the ball - at least when he is like he was 18 months ago ? Very few

To be honest, if Rio's not fit and it's Brown to play with Smalling, I don't worry.

Brown is a good lad, a solid player, can play against them.

451, Berbatov on the bench.

/facepalm

Gonna be a long game, this one.

United:

Van der Sar; O'Shea, Brown, Smalling, Evra; Nani, Fletcher, Carrick, Scholes, Giggs; Rooney.

Liverpool:

Reina; Johnson, Skrtel, Carragher, Aurelio; Lucas, Gerrard, Meireles; Kuyt, Suarez, Maxi.
