Liverpool v Manchester United

My only concern is Scholes in a 442 away from home, partnered by Carrick. Neither of them will chase it and put pressure on the opposition.

Well, lets hope they can keep the ball and dictate play then and not be overhauled by the pressure the scousers put on them

The line up screams 'let them worry about our attacking players' rather than us being way too cautious worrying about theirs.

for the love of god, please let us win.....a loss would be unbearable.

Why is Rafael now picked?

Fergie's rotation does not make sense. If he is going to play O'Shea vs City and Chelsea, but then bring in Rafael today. I am confused at this.
I think he's been using Rafael sparingly over the last few weeks because of his head injury. Although he was technically only out for 2 weeks you have to go easy with this type of injury. Repucussions from it can come later, especially from a subsequent knock on the head.

Rafael was recovering from concussion. Now fully recovered obviously.

Quit your moaning.

You bitched when the original line-up was announced, and you're bitching now again.

You really do just like to be antagonistic don't you?

This is a high stakes gamble by SAF. Playing Carrick Scholes in central midfield and Berbatov up front when we dont have our 2 regulat centrbacks- it's win or bust.

We basically need to dominate possession. Its positive which is grand. I personally may have gone for Oshea as LB over Evra but thats a minor thing.

Last time Scholes/Carrick started as a pairing at their place, they made Lucas look world class (though I think they had Alonso at the time as well). Interesting and cannot wait.

When we played City, they had Zabaleta and Kolarov. OO'Shea was picked for this match. It makes no sense and I am just pleased Rafael is starting today.

Experience and size right there, Liverpool have Aurelio and Maxi, a lot less physically imposing.

Are you ever fecking happy? You've been whinging for weeks that Rafael hasn't been playing and now he is, be happy ffs

If we don't win today, nobody can complain about the selection. I for one am glad we're going 4-4-2 with Rooney and Berbatov up front. Very attacking, let's just go for them.

As long as we play our best and go at them, we may win or lose but as long as we do our best.

COME ON UNITED!!

I love you.

That's such a mother thing to say :P

"It doesn't matter how you do, darling, as you long as try your bestest mummy will still love you"

I´ve played football, even played QPR in 94, so I know my fair share of the game. I just think that we are at our best when attacking.

Looks like I choose the wrong person to pick on :(

But I still think we will play 4-5-1 today and Rooney will play wde with Giggs in the centre

Although I have gotten it wrong before

I was so wrong about the lineup!!! And so were many more. But I am so excited about how attacking minded team SAF has put out there. Great!

That's all you can ever expect of somebody. I'm a firm believer that as long as you try your damnedest, then nobody can criticise you. All you can do is your best and what will be, will be.

I would think Giggs will play more in-field.

I'd have preferred Hernandez to Berbatov for this game with their centre backs not the fastest.

We're set up to Tear them to pieces, so let's feckin av 'em. In Fergie we trust.

Keep the abusive shit out of here for the next 3 hours please. We are playing the enemy. Lets just stay together and support our team and if you have something abusive to say let it be directed at the bastards at Merseyside

Here is hope Dowd doesn't let Lucas get away with constant fouling all day. Reckon Lucas made about seven/eight challenges last time we played Liverpool at Anfield and wasn't sent off. He'll do the same today for sure.
