Where'd all the Gooners go!?

I quite like Spurs. They're easily the most likeable club in London, for me. They have the best support in North London, too.

I thought everyone hated Spurs, apart from those that don't notice them? Everyone in London does anyway, the heritage-above-themselves cnuts.

Everyone loves Harry though. Most people think Wenger's a bit of a knob.

Inherited a decent team, enjoyed success... left to his own devices and his own footballing philosophies, it's all gone a bit tits up hasn't it?

Everyone loves Harry? Ask the Portsmouth and Southampton fans what they think about him. The mans a cnut.

Everyone loves the bent cnut who sold his face to the devil? He's going dahn in May.

There might be some truth in this. I used to send my children out of the room when Redknapp's napper came on the telly but, for some reason, he doesn't seem quite as ugly anymore. He's growing into those saggy jowls and droopy eyelids.

As for your lot. You have had a bit of a reality check this last couple of weeks and you're in danger of taking City's place as the team most likely to grab defeat from the jaws of victory.

We had a ref-assisted reality check from the best club side in the world - you got one from Liverpool.

You had one from Birmingham, Barca and United to end three trophy trails.

We suffered a set-back against Liverpool.

Seriously, I admire your optimism and well... support, I would expect nothing less from a fan but I think your guys are shot to pieces right now.

The fact that we're now contesting on three fronts as opposed to your one perhaps gives you an edge in the League but I just have a feeling that your lads lack the belief needed to win the league.

As Paul Merson once said, "Wenger gives you unbelievable belief"...

Reality can kick that airy-fairy shit in the bollocks though.

Yeah but most teams didn't make it to the league cup final, Barca are the best club side in the world and losing an way cup tie to Man Utd is hardly a disaster. Losing Chezza and Djourou is not good news though.

Yeah, we had a year off in the CC this time. Not many do four in a row.

Losing to Barca is no disgrace, obviously. Putting it down to a refereeing decision when you were clearly blown away shows poor form, though. Heard something the other day that you managed three touches in the Barca penalty area or something?

As for the game against us... well, you had your chances but we had a great goalkeeper and a very good defence. Despite what Wenger seems to think, these are integral parts of a trophy winning side.

Djourou getting injured and out for the rest of the season was a blow but if there's any consolation, at least it was one of your own players who did him and not one of ours.

Time will tell Pete, time will tell.

It's going to be an interesting run-in, no matter what. I just feel that with Valencia coming back and looking good again, Rooney finally looking like Rooney after a gap-year and the scent of silverware in our nostrils again, things are looking good for us at the moment.

Gooners...are United's daily bread

Spurs are comfortably the most likeable team in London currently in the PL.

I take it you don't live in London:confused:

Maybe outside London they're the more likeable than some others... but here?
Most hated by far.

I'd say Fulham are more likeable...no one Chelsea apart have much of an agenda with them and even the rentboys tend to just treat them with disdain.

As far as I can tell, in London, no-one really dislikes Fulham, not even Chelsea fans.

I think there were a fair few fans of other clubs up and down the country that wanted to see Fulham win the Europa League last season. I think the strongest feelings are reserved for those teams who represent a real threat.

No I dont. Forgot about Fulham. They seem harmless.

But Spurs any day over Arse, Chelsea and Ham

 They do? What makes you think that?

( at the Gooners)

I used to be on a newcastle forum and the vitriol towards Spurs was second only to the hatred for Sunderland. I don't think it was entirely down to Glaston and his ilk...every football forum on the internet has at least one incredibly annoying Spurs fan, but it seemed to be more than that.

I think Glaston's alright to be fair - he comes across as being relatively sensible, for a Spurs fan.

You obviously didn't grow up in north London. Though I understand that Spurs have been so inconsequential for 20 years it can be difficult to see them as the great Satan.

I didn't grow up there(only a few miles away though) and as you say, they were so inconsequential for so long that the rivalry suffered as a result. Of course, I want them to lose every game, but they've just done nothing for so long that I can see why they're somewhat likeable, if you're not a Gooner, that is.

I used to think he was ok but now I fecking hate him.

Seems he has some agenda against United in the last few months or so.

Always seems to find time to make time to time negative comments about United even though Spurs are not involved.

It's no coincidence that Spurs are almost universally hated, because they believe they are better than most having done feck all for 50 years.

feck 'em

Funny thing.

Make that 6 years and it's Arsenal :p
