Manchester United vs. Chelsea

To be honest, it actually makes no sense to pick Torres over Drogba in the first place, even given the big fee and the desperation attached to it. Take the pressure off him and let the player in better form play.

It was offside

The 2005 edition of the Laws of the Game included a new International Football Association Board decision that stated being "nearer to an opponent's goal line" meant that "any part of his head, body or feet is nearer to his opponents' goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent (the last opponent typically being the goalkeeper). The arms are not included in this definition."[2] This is taken to mean that any part of the attacking player named in this decision has to be past the part of the second-last defender closest to his goal line (excluding the arms) and past the part of the ball closest to the defenders' goal line.

yes true , but he is getting injured to often sadly.

2 games in 6 days is too much for him coming straight back in, especially of this profile, hopefully whatever it is isnt that bad as he has carried on a good 40 minutes with it

I know the offside rule perfectly well. At one point it applied to two defenders, not one.

Not a word about a clear gap in the rule book I have found, and it is from this year, on a FIFA website.

Ivanovic runs like he's got his shirt tucked into his socks.
