Newcastle United vs. Manchester United

Yea Rooney takes a decent one but he needs to be in the middle not taking them

True but Drogba takes them for Chelsea occasionally and he should really be in the middle. If you have a guy who can get a decent delivery in or one extra headerer in the box i'd rather have the delivery and a chance for the others.

Ordinarily yes, but if the ball doesn't get there then there's not much to lose in having him hit the corner.

I don't get it mate. I can kind of understand freekicks being a specialist area and difficult to get right in matches but corners?

I know. Its grating to know that our corners are going to be an epic fail before they are even taken.

Besides there's been no improvement throughout the season in that department and if anything, they seem worse. Especially in games that were tighter, sometimes we would score from a set piece and the game would open more to our advantage. Nowadays its open play or nothing. Not to forget that our corners are stress relievers for the opposition these days. Our set pieces have been my number one complaint this season.

I would really like to know what Fergie thinks.

True but that's a sign of Chelsea having the same problem, both teams need to sort out their wingers' corner taking technique.

True, same as above though.

Why do Smalling and Vidic always go for the same man. This will cost us.

Yeah that's fine united...just offer Newcastle a free header in the penalty box, it's no problem

We have been useless at them ever since Ronaldo left, it has a lot to do with the fact that we only have one player who is useful in the air.

I'm not sure our defenders are on the same wavelength. First it was O'Shea going with Vidic for the same ball leaving Jonas unmarked and now Smalling and Vidic giving them a free header.

See, it's inane bollox like this which makes match-day threads such a waste of typing. Surely to feck you understand the difference context makes to games?

The only context he has is that he hates this team.

Yea, we've had a few goals from corners but very few and certainly not as many as we should be doing with the number of corners we win.

Can someone tell Alardyce he's not the Barcodes manager any more.

This ref is a gimp.

And just to make it clear the ref's an arse, yellow for Carrick
