I thought we played okay in the final ten mins of the first half.

Poor half, midfield is almost non-existent & Rooney-Hernandez haven't clicked yet. Defensively we've been good alebit lucky to get away with the handball. Fabio's been our best player offensively, Foy's doing a great job screening the back four.

That's been pretty poor from us so far. If our gameplan was to frustrate Arsenal until half time then it worked well.

I'm actually annoyed at how fecking stupid Vidic was then. One of the most senseless things I've seen from a player in a United shirt...a genuine disgracful decision that could have not only fecked us up for this game but the Chelsea one too. He's the captain and that was not leading by example.

We're far too deep, I'd like to see a bit more attacking in the 2nd half. A draw wouldn't be the worst result in the world, but SAF said himself if we win the next two we're champions. I don't particularly want to take a draw today and expect us then to beat Chelsea at home next week. Chelsea are capable of coming to OT and beating us, then it will be squeaky bum time if we only take a point from these 2 matches.
I know nobody has really done anything, but Nani hasn't been in good form for a while. I'd look at the possiblity of putting Valencia on, he's more direct. It annoys me sometimes when Nani gets the ball, fannies about and by the time he decides what to do, the Arsenal have got men (or boys) back in position.

Hernandez isn't able to hold up the little amount of ball he's getting - we need him to either start doing that or bring on Berbatov. You can't keep spunking the ball away in away games against teams like Arsenal.

Aside from Alan Smith being allowed to do the game (I suspect Neville will not be handed Manchester United matches to commentate on from next season) the excitement in his voice for the RVP chance (the Vidic handball one) was as if he was wetting himself. What i dont understand is weve gone deep and defensive with an attacking line up, if we want to play that way then surely the extra midfield man 2 quick wingers and Rooney up top is the system to go with? we're basically playing with 10 men.

Hope we lift our performance in the second. We need to be better on the counter. If we make the final were going to be even more possession deprived. So we need to use it far better.

For all the pretty football from Arsenal as per usual no end product and if not for being a little careless with our chances we could have been leading at half time. Our performance is a typical CL setup of playing it tight looking to hit on the break after letting them run out of steam, hopefully it works.
Denying a clear goalscoring opportunity = red.
