Good performance from Gibson in the first half and Valencia has been our best attacking outlet. Just keep it steady in the second and the job is done.

It might be a good idea to get Anderson and Scholes off as I can see this ref getting his red out before the end of the night.
 
Schalke look more of a threat than they did in the 1st leg...

We had complete control over the game. Unfortunate we conceded a goal.

The ref is shite! If this is the type of refereeing we'll see in the final, expect a lot cards with all the Barca antics.
 
1st half trouble in the Schalke end. Flares, fighting & bottles thrown at #MUFC fans below. Calmed down now but shameful scenes.
 
I think we should take scholes off for Fletcher as early in the second half as possible. Don't want to risk him or Anderson but I'd trust Anderson more not to do something silly
 
This game is sewn up. I can't enjoy it knowing that if we lose the Chelsea the chances of winning the title are slimmed dramatically, anyone else agree. We should be able to get a draw from that game though.
 
There was a moment on the counter when Nani had the ball and was bursting forward while Berba was casually jogging forward with no real urgency behind him. I think this is a reason he doesn't really play the lone striker role for us in any big game. Rooney/Hernandez would have been bursting forward to get on the end of a cross.

Yeah, it's really tiresome sometimes, we're up 4-1 after outplaying them for 135 minutes yet it's somehow tight enough to be nervous?

Huh? Berba had some decent plays earlier - he's up top on his own and we've gifted Schalke 54% possession. It's not like we've been putting in cross after cross or ball to his feet time and time again. He's done well enough up there on his own.
 
Fletch needs some minutes, get him out there.

That's a pretty sad thing to say about somebody's temperament when they're at the twilight of their career. Scholes, in a word, needs to grow up.
 
their defence is shit, we can score more if we want to....just don't sit back too much.....
 
Gibson has played very well. I'm a big critic of his but credit where credit is due, the boys played well.
 
I want to see Berbatov getting involved in play a lot more this half. Such a wonderfully gifted player, if only he had more urgency to his game.

Scholes is 14 years his senior and suffers from asthma, yet he still looks fitter than Anderson.
