If anyone can provide a gif or clip of that burst from Ando yesterday followed by a pass with the outside of his left foot to Nani, it would be great.

Here yo go.

A shame the pass was a tad too heavy.

Evans' reaction is brilliant :D

Hadn't noticed that - don't know to laugh or to be disappointed.

Pretty happy to see him running with the ball, that's what he does best and that's the aspect of his game that when in full confidence can set him apart from others.

He's back in the Brazil squad for a couple of upcoming friendlies. I fear they'll end up taking him to the Copa America, thus seeing another messed up summer+pre season for him.

More like a nice little way for him to touch up on his fitness. He's still missed alot of football

Yeah he needs playing time, I rather have him play instead of partying and gaining weight during the summer.

I would actually love him to get a full pre-season at United. Since his arrival, he hasn't had one don't he? He wouldn't get into the starting line-up or play more games as we would have like if he goes to the Copa anyway

That gif is hilarious. What the hell is Jonny pissed for?

Very similar to his shot against Schalke which Neuer kept out.

Who ever thought his finishing would never improve was wrong.

The boy knows his way to goal now.

Don't get ahead of yourself. He's scored three tap-ins and a one cracker this season. Let's just see if he can kick on now he's through the drought.

Wonderful assist for Owen. Some player when he's on song.

Had to laugh at the 5 or so Blackpool players who attempted, and failed, to outmuscle him throughout the game.

Quite a good game, but to me it reaffirmed the belief that he is the wrong choice against Barca. too many killer balls that dont quite make it - we cant afford to squander our possession like that against Barca.

Fingers crossed that next season is his real breakthrough though, looking promising again.

heh.

Missed that shot in the first half then did you?

Lets not kid ourselves. He's still pretty woeful, but that shouldn't stop him from trying when he's got the chance.

:D I'm in a good mood so of course i'm getting carried away. But seriously, there has been improvement. There's no reason why he can't score more often.

He could be a good impact sub for the CL final. His energy coming on against a hopefully tiring Barca could be effective.

I thought when we went 2-1 down he really stepped up, great finish and a nice assist as well,. keep it up Ando!

The brace he scored against Schalke has done him the world of good. I expect great things from him next season. I thought the lad might not have what it takes to be a United regular but I'm really glad he's proving me - and quite a few others - wrong.

Such a strong player, he isn't the fastest of runners, but with the ball at his feet he can move very quickly, quicker than most. Goals are what he has needed, not just for the goal tally in general, but goals generate confidence. He now has confidence like never before, I'm confident he can step up in the next couple of years into a top, top midfielder for us

Four goals. He's been our most prolific central midfielder this season. Unless you count Giggs as a CM.

Hah.

Anyway, he seems to have broken his duck... even though his familiar anxious self peeked through in the first half.

I get the impression that he's either lost a little bit of pace with the muscle he's gained in his upper body (not fat - he took his shirt off after the Schalke game and there wasn't much fat on him at all), or he's stopped running at high intensities to conserve his energy.

In the past, when Anderson's been at full pelt, he's been really, really fast. One of the fastest in the team, no doubt.

Agree with everyone he really needs a pre-season.

If he has a full pre-season and stays injury free then we'll see the benefits next year big time.

Problem is - not sure SAF won't bring in another playmaker next year (I do see Anderson as a playmaker).

I think he's started to pace himself better in games.

He takes the first 20-30 minutes easier which means he can then watch what the other team are doing, locate their weak spots before starting to impose himself on games.

Much better than starting at breakneck speeed and running out of puff!
