I disagree.
Berbatov is 'technically right up there' and I'm not convinced RvP matches him for awareness and vision either.
What non-technical factors?
Exactly Berba's technically right up there too, but Van Persie is more two-footed, deliver's excellent crosses, takes amazing set pieces, is arguably better in the air.
As for non-technical factors, there is movement off the ball, acceleration in the first few yards, the greater determination and conciseness of his play. He likes matching himself against the best, whereas Berba struggles to impose himself on big opposition. Van Persie's been unlucky over the years, due to a) being injury prone and b) playing in a mentally weak football outfit.
I'm a Berba-fan, but most neutrals would just say RVP without hesitation. Berbatov's reliable fitness wise, and he comes in handy in the League.
