I'm presuming you're aware that our goal came from Rooney coming forward from deep and Hernandez has little involvement?
Incorrect, Hernandez run takes away Alves, without his movement Giggsy's ball is intercepted

Hey? The green smilies were all about you're view of Berba, not the United team? Are you a bit slow Wes?
You also slagged off Hernandez in there, good work. And you also think that without Berba and one of Hernandez or Rooney we'd just be safe from relegation.
Good leader.![]()

whoever scores the most goals is generally considered the best striker in the league. You seem to have your own standards - popularity by the sounds of things - most fans are idiots; you being a fairly large one.
Still, the idea that we couldn't have scored if we didn't have a Hernandez-like player is surely wrong.
I just say I am very relieved his career with us did not turn into a complete disaster and I am very thankful for his 1st 6 months of the season. He put in some Super performances.
But it just was never meant to be
I'm presuming you're aware that our goal came from Rooney coming forward from deep and Hernandez has little involvement?
Phillips was brilliant at that time - natural goalscorer. I think Sunderland finished fifth that year of the basis of him and Quinn playing together.
I couldn't pick one out of those four from United who were definitely a better striker than him - but as a strikerforce we were better overall.
Let me ask you - who's been a better striker than Berbatov in the Premier league this year?
Absolute rubbish. His career for us hasn't been anything even near a complete disaster.
He's also still with the club.
Spot on.No point going over and over it now. Berba wouldn't have made much of a difference . Our midfield isn't good enough full stop.
Rooney, Hernandez and Robin Van Persie.
.......
Typical. If he was better he'd' have been first choice from the start of the season. To say he has been better is the equivalent of claiming Valencia has been better than Nani this past season because in the end he started games ahead of him.Hernandez hasn't been better than Berba? Saf thinks differently, good use of smilie chief![]()
Rooney and Hernandez really came to the fore after January.

The only 2 forwards in the league who have performed like Berbatov all year long are Tevez and arguably Van Piersie.
Rooney and Hernandez really came to the fore after January. In the first part of the season Rooney was fecking shit while Chicharito was a sub.
Bullshit.Exactly, when it gets important.
He isn't. He started the season well, got injured. Came back and continued from where he left off.Van Persie is in the same bracket.
Frankly it's laughable to claim that somebody who become first choice in the dying embers of the season has been better than the one who played the majority of the season in that role and finished as the leagues top scorer. My point wasn't that they have been way better, but it's hardly fecking laughable chief.
I'd agree with the Chief here. I think Berba had a better season.
Hernandez played to get the best out of Rooney, not because he himself was playing better, and got us some important goals, but no more than Berbatov did.
Wrong. Hernandez took over as first choice because Berbatov begun to have a wobble in form. When Berbatov was in top form Hernandez was always on the bench despite his consistency off of it.Bollocks, Hernandez has been consistent all season taking his chances, Ferguson realized this and simply couldn't not start him any longer.....
As I said earlier, think Valencia and Nani if you want to understand why it makes little sense.
Chico scored against Marseille and Chelsea in Europe and Chelsea in the league in the last couple of months of the season, I'd count these goals figuratively more important than Berba's...
No. SAF simply picked the team in the best form, that had also consistently been performing together in recent weeks.???
Whats so funny about Hernandez?
Fergie obviously thinks he's better too mate...

Oh puhlease. Before Valencia got injured he was being benched by Nani. When Valencia finally returned Nani eventually ended the season on the bench, mainly due to loss of form brought on by Carragher's tackle. I dare you to tell us Valencia has had the better season and is better than Nani too.Bollox, whilst Nani was playing well Valencia was injured.
Whilst Berba was playing well, Chica was still scoring winners.
Shite comparison.
Hat-trick against Liverpool and winner against Blackbool don't count then?
With him nothing Berbatov does counts.Hat-trick against Liverpool and winner against Blackbool don't count then?

Are you playing thick Chief?
Whilst Berba was playing well so was Hernandez, still scoring winners. Hernandez has had an excellent season, it didn't start in January![]()
I didn't say that, of course they did.
But they dried up; Chico scored winners in the title clashes, Berb didn't in this or any other season.
End of...
Bollocks, Hernandez has been consistent all season taking his chances, Ferguson realized this and simply couldn't not start him any longer.
And out of all these strikers mentioned, only Tevez was consistent all year. Rooney was poor until January, RVP was injured for a good deal of it and Berb had a lengthy inconsistent patch between Oct-Dec and again since Feb.

We looked far more effective with Valencia right wing than Nani, fine season he may have had...
The ones Berb didn't play in because Rooney was back, you mean?
"End of"![]()
