My answer would be I will be over the moon if he is as good as Terry.
Have to say I take the claim Liverpool have offered 22m AFTER Jones has already made his choice with a pinch of salt. The idea of 'revenge' for a throwaway remark by Fergie might have been right if fans were running the club, but I really don't see Dalglish and co really working that way. Maybe Blackburned leaked an offer that never was in order to try and put pressure on us.

Dunno but if we are going to spend big I think SAF will move some players on. Will be one of the more interesting summers.

I don't see O'Shea deciding to take a massive pay cut to join Sunderland unless SAF tries to push him out.

the only concern with O'Shea if we end up retaining him is his recent injuries that have been relatively long.
There's no concern at all if we keep O'Shea. He'll be another option for the full-back positions; it's unlikely that him, Jones, Smalling, Evans, Rafael, Fabio and Evra will be injured at the same time.
If we sell him, good luck to him but I'd keep him as cover if we don't need that 3-4m that desperately.
