All are injured according to Physio room. Tomkins and Kelly might return.

One win in four away from home in all comps and we've lost at Huddersfield, Basel, Bristol, Newcastle this season. Can't therefore be overly confident away from Old Trafford. This would be a big win though.

Waiting for Monday games is agonizing. It feels like ages since we last played.

We must win this game and then beat Liverpool on Saturday to have any chance of finishing in 2nd place.

I really hope Martial plays, but I'm not convinced he will do so. If he doesn't rock up, do you think we will switch Sanchez to the left and go Lingard on the right, or do you think Mata will get a run?

Personally I'd love Rashford to start on the right, but I don't think that's going to happen.

TFM is also ineligible for the game

Yeah, which means they will struggle with their RB if Kelly isn't fit. TFM is ineligible, Ward is injured, Kelly might recover in time.

Would you be happy with a draw against Liverpool in our own ground.

No, but United would still be two points ahead of them with a win against CP tonight. Liverpool is bound to drop some easy points themselves.

We have a harder run in than them and I would rather a cushion of a 5 point lead on them by winning tonight and then beating them on Saturday..Would you not.

A win and top 4 is all but done. Chelsea are bound to drop more points next couple of weeks, Arsenal are already gone.

I think he was just highlighting you over dramatising the need to best Liverpool next week. Of course every United fan wants us to win the game but it's not a must win in order to obtain 2nd place.

    Bingo.

For once, I would like an easy win so that I can just relax and enjoy the game. But we all know that ain't gonna happen. So I'll settle for a nervous 1-2 win.

Declaring any league game a 'must win' is almost always an exaggeration. I think you can take the term 'must win' as shorthand for 'we could bloody well do with winning this and we'll struggle to achieve our aims if we don't'. That said I agree with the thrust of the argument that a win tonight and a draw on Saturday wouldn't be too bad.

What's clear is that two or, perish the thought, three points dropped tonight would be ridiculous if we have serious designs on keeping second place.

To give ourselves that extra bit of a safety cushion we really need to win this one to secure a top four spot let alone 2nd place. If we lost tonight and then dropped 3 points against Liverpool and we also lost to City away, maybe on the day that they can mathematically win the title, that would enable Chelsea to take advantage and move above us. They still have at least two difficult games too, though, (Spurs & Liverpool ) both at home.
