Tough to predict the team. Does anyone think Darmian will come back in? With Young moved further up the pitch? Or keep Young as the RB as he was doing alright.

Yeah, the forwards and midfield almost pick themselves. It's just defence that's quite tough to predict. Young or Darmian at RB? Jones or Blind at CB? Or Jones - Blind at CB as LVG might not want to risk Smalling as he had a bit of a scare during internationals?

I just hope we don't underestimate Watford.

    De Gea

    Young Smalling Blind Rojo

    Schweinsteiger Schneiderlin

    Mata Herrera Lingard

    Memphis

Is what I'm going for right now. Darmian/Young, Blind/Jones and Memphis/Wilson are the only real questions. I think with how Young did at RB, he'll continue there over Darmian

I will also go with this lineup. I don't think LvG will change anything in defense and Memphis will start over Wilson, because of match rythm.

Young was poor against WBA, so I think Darmian will get the nod tomorrow.

    De Gea
    Young-Smalling-Jones-Rojo
    Schneiderlin-Schweinsteiger
    Mata-Herrera-Lingard
    Memphis

subs: Romero, Darmian, CBJ, Blind, Pereira, Goss? Wilson

Maybe even Rashford on the bench.

youngs last outing in RB was poor and he isn't better than Darmian, LVG said Darmian needed to get back to 100% fit again am sure he has now and the needed the rest

Yes, he really was and was righfully subbed off. Contributed a grand total of feck all to our attacking play.

Not that Darmian is better at attacking than Young, but you'd expect much better from a winger going forward.

    De Gea
    Young-Smalling-Jones-Rojo

    Wilson

    Subs: Romero,Darmian,CBJ,Blind,Pereira,A.Fletcher,Memphis

The good thing to come out of this injury crisis is that hopefully it means Pereira will get a chance at some point.

I'm hoping for the former. Not a huge fan of Darmian but moving Young to the left and Lingard to the right, and Mata infield would be the best way forward IMO with the latest injury news.

Pretty sure Young will continue at RB though

    Going for:

    De Gea
    Darmian Smalling Blind Rojo
    Schneiderlin Schweinsteiger
    Mata Herrera Lingard
    Memphis
    ---
Romero; Jones, Tuanzebe, Borthwick-Jackson; Young, Pereira; Wilson

Won't know what to make of it if LVG won't trust Memphis with a start with all these players out.

    DDG
    Darmian-Smalling-Jones-Blind
    Herrerra-Schneiderlin-BFS
    Lingard-Mata-Young

Im going for Mata up top cos I have no idea and this would be fun. If we need a goal or are winning comfortably then Perreira, Memphis and Wilson to come on as subs. If we are 1-0 up and need to protect the lead, then I have no idea with Carrick and Fellaini injured...Maybe Rojo if Jones or Blind are getting bullied?

How ironic though, that Rooney is finally unavailable for selection and Martial is as well

He is not a striker though, so it would actually make more sense to start Wilson

    Would like to see:

    DdG
    Damo Mike Rojo Blind
    Schweini
    Herrera Pereira
    Mata
    Jesse------------Depay
What i think we will see:

    DdG
    Damo Mike Blind Rojo
    Morgan Schweini
    JMata Herrera Jesse
    Depay

Urgh I've been dreading this day when both strikers are out... Memphis has to go up front, no offense to Wilson but he just isnt that good enough as of yet to play up front on his own. Espeically against a team like Watford with a solid defense at the moment. Either Memphis or Mata. I would of said Felliani but he's out aswell! so its out of them two who can theoretically play there.

 People persisting with Young at right back.

The Ferguson sickness of mindlessly playing players out of position remains with some of the support.

Darmian is our best right back and is fit to play. Therefore he should play.

Memphis with Mata in behind. Lingard & Pereira either side.

    De Gea
    Darmian/Young - Jones - Smalling - Rojo
    Mata - Schneiderlin - Schweinsteiger - Lingard
    Herrera
    Wilson

Herrera and Wilson could be swapped for Depay and Fellaini...?

I also don't get this one bit, Young needs to play further forward and Darmian RB

Any truth in the Rojo news that he isn't available for tomorrow? Apparently Van Gaal has said Rojo isn't in optimal physical condition and won't play. Probably because of the travelling involved for the Argentina qualifiers, if true.

I love the way he signs and Argentinian then moans about the travelling he has to do when on International duty.

Yeah. Signing Mane would be worse in that aspect though, especially with the African Nations Cup in mind, which seems to be held every couple of months.

    De Gea

    Darmian Smalling Jones Blind

Mata Schweinsteiger Carrick Schneiderlin Herrera Memphis

The fans won't be able to chant "attack!" because there isn't one.

we should just go 451 for this. Flood the midfield, we will need midfiled runners from deep to compensate for less attacking quality.

Be interested to see if he goers for Wilson or Memphis up front tomorrow, excited to see either really, could be good. only concern is him going for Fellaini...

So a toss up between Young and Depay as striker. I fancy Young will get the vote. Can't see him dropping Lingard, so think Mata and Herrera will support the striker. The rest as per normal, do not see what the fuss is. Doubt we will miss Rooney, Martial is unfortunate, but a rest is probable good. The others are hardly first choice anymore.

With the injuries, we'll probably line up like this:
    De Gea
    Darmian/Young Smalling Blind Rojo
    Schneiderlin Schweinsteiger
    Mata Herrera Young/Lingard
    Wilson/Memphis

Pretty much 8 of those are nailed on and the other 3 could go either way. My choice would be Darmian, Young on the wing and Wilson up top probably, but I can see Young continuing at right back, Lingard on the wing and then Memphis up top because Van Gaal mentioned that Wilson can't play all 90. Going to be a tough game without Rooney and martial though. Shame about Rooney as I was hoping he'd build on the France game.

I just hope that we can play with a good team. To be honest with all of you, only Martial's injury is annoying. We all hoped for Rooney to be dropped/injured/out and with the weak contribution he has as a N9 or even 10, I don't think that having Rooney as a striker or James Wilson will be different on the pitch.

It may be different on the players mind, knowing that the captain is not there, but I'm not too worried. I'm more about Martial's, but it had to be the case this year. Rooney is weak and we're relying on Martial or midfielders to score goals.

Van Gaal said that he was innovative. I really hope that he plays a real forward here, but knowing that he doesn't trusts Wilson this season, we can be sure that Memphis will play as a striker, and of course will struggle.

Then come the idea playing with a false 9 in Mata. If you play two wingers in Depay and Lingard that can cut inside, this idea can be good. As Fabregas played with Spain or Barcelona; I hope that we can do it for one game against Watford
