I'd add to what's been said by pointing out that Trump has flip-flopped on positions within a single sentence, numerous times. He's all over the shop, often within minutes of each other.

Sounds like they are trying to get a quick review done before the election. Not that this will change anything given early voting and the fact that most votes are already baked in. It may however matter in terms of actual election day and also in terms of saving a bit of credibility for Comey, the Bureau, and the DoJ.
