2017 Pre Season | Real Madrid vs Manchester United

hoping it goes to penalties tbh! Good practice and team wont get delusional over winning properly over Madrid

Most of our first team (not just in this match) look nervous most of the time. Always keen to turn back towards their own goal, scared to take a risk and sluggish much of the time. It's a bit of a worry.

Had a feeling Madrid's youngsters would give us a test with their energy versus our lack thereof.

Defenders can look horrendous on the start with a new team and then recover superbly. Evra immediately springs to mind.

Not worried about Lindelof yet, too early. But he's not ready to start yet. Which is not a problem at all really since we have loads of CBs

We buy all these players and sometimes I'm left thinking 'why?' Is this fella that much better than Tuanzebe could be? When you look at the money this club has wasted since 2013.
Maybe he'll turn out good, you know. I know it's crazy but just a thought.

Think Jose's pairing of Jones with Bailly this past two games might be a hint Lindelof will be given time to bed in.
Of course. People expecting him to start the Premier League were deluding themselves.

Some of you are way over the top. Feck sake half of our lads are walking and you're making judgements on their ability on the ball. Based on this match Fellaini would struggle in League One.

We desperately need a few players if we want to compete at the highest level this season. A midfielder is an absolute must. Another attacking player (ideally a pure winger) is a must. A proper left back should also be a priority. Jose's talk of having to settle for one additional player is troubling. I'm not ripping the team, or overreacting to a pre=season game - there's simply not enough quality in the squad.

Nah mate, it's already the 4th game of preseason now, us football geniuses can already tell he's complete and utter shite

Surely a few pre-season games is enough to judge a new player?

The stadium announcer makes the three minute rehydration break sound like a white knuckle ride of unbearable excitement.

Forgive me. Since Fergie retired we have a poor record with buying players. I saw Tuanzebe shackle Sanchez not long ago. Looked easily more comfortable than what I've seen from Lindelof. Why buy potential when we have loads already?

McTominay - stands less than five yards away from the nearest united player, occupying his position, and then sideways passes to another United player another few yards away. It's not just a glaring lack of technical skill, it's also a lack of tactical skill or positioning. All the graft in the world won't make him a good United player. He should enjoy the run out for what it is.
