2017 Pre Season | Sampdoria vs Manchester United

There's no compromise on our midfield. If we're missing even just Pogba the overall quality drops significantly. If we're going to challenge for the title this season we need our midfield trio fit for at least the majority of the season.

If Mourinho has to change systems to put Martial in, I guess he'll never be an option there.

We're playing 352, but the amount of room between our midfielders is crazy. Fellaini is too high and we're losing possesion on bad passes because of it.

I took half day sick today. I'm actually sick. Having trouble keeping eyes open for this.

That if you considered he was parking the bus in every game with his previous teams which isn't true. Mourinho is pragmatic rather than a defensive and pragmatism doesn't equal defense. He'll just do whatever the feck needed to get the result by either attack or defense. He's never sticking to certain play style and when it's outsmarted stood here waiting for his team to get crushed. He'll always take any step to make his team win or at least not lose whatever that means.

I ain't saying bus parking one bit, but being a defensive block in the middle and being counter attacking in possession ,our ball circulation is not exactly counter attacking also.

A pity Rashford didn't saw Martial's running.

Looked like a dive from Rashford to be honest.

Some of the play in the final third has been close to retarded. Rashford staring down at the ball there was bizarre. If I was Martial I'd be fuming.

There's still a lack of understanding between our players and it drives me fecking mad.

It's not even that good with him. He at least creates something with his long passes but the link between midfield and the attack in this team is so poor.

I don't think it's quite that bad. With both Fellaini and Carrick in there it just isn't dynamic enough and we are struggling to press and control as we had before. If we've got two of Pogba, Herrera and Periera we will be fine.

Yeah but he isn't changing the system to put him in. Just trying different formations. We played 3 different ones last season.
I think he's trying to fool Real Madrid, actually. If it was Lingard instead of Martial, he wouldn't have changed it. And if he really wanted to try a different formation, like he did in the other games, he would have changed at half-time.
