As a general overview and not tryng to complain but this is not an improved team from last season, granted it's only a pre season match so you can say theres less intensity but I can't help feel we honestly still need 2-3 players to improve us still,
Some thing I have constanty noticed,
1. Blind is NOT a left back and we need a proper left back if Shaw cant stay fit, so much wasted opportunites from him and it's painful
2. Rashford is still devoloping and will continue to miss more chances than score at this moment in time which was our main problem last year (not just with rashford but in general) and yes we have signed Lukaku but we cannot just have those two as our attackers, we almost need a Chicarito type.
3. Mata needs to stop being played out wide and be put as a number 10 because he's our most creative player
4. We need real wingers ! Perisic would definitley help but we need a Gareth Bale Calibre to take us to the next level
Ultimately, there's not enough pace in the team and we are so static at times it can make your eyes bleed!

It's only 12 days before the PL starts, we need to see improvement quick.

Had Mourinho played Mitchell and TFM as full-backs, we would have players who can overlap.
What we're doing is like playing Eriksen out wide with Wimmer behind him.

Not sure Rashford is a genuine alternative to Lukaku in a one-striker system
I feel like a broken record but our attack is just so poor; we've got no width at all. We basically rely on Pogba to create everything through the middle. Against defensive teams this will lead to more draws. I'm annoyed nothing has been done about it so far.

One Perisic is not enough. We need to sell more squad players, Blind, Fellaini, Smalling and buy another attacker/offensive player with Perisic. Serious lack of creativity and penetration
He can get really lazy as feck from time to time.

They are a mid table team.
Currently 7th in a 16 team league.
This team would be the equivalent of a league 1 or league 2 England league team.
Attacking wise, we playing exactly as we did last season - can't score.

This is pre season. Keep telling yourself that
7th because of bad referees and unlucky with injuries (which sadly has been the case for almost a decade now).
If we're going to be a team with no width then at least our full-backs should provide it, and it playing centrally is our only attack option then at least have forward runners. It's frustrating watching in every City game there's through-ball after through-ball after through-ball because everyone is taking turns making forward runs. We just switch it, then pass inside, and switch it again, repeat pattern.
Not true. This time last season we'd have missed half a dozen easy chances.
