It's interesting how the whole things seems to implode without Trump fanning the flames on social media. Well, I am not following things that closely, so I might be missing stuff; but it does seem that social media is an important factor in enabling the outrage and event. Would this have happened before the advent of the internet?
That's only about the specific event of course, not the social current leading to it - although even there, social media may be an important enabler of some views/ideas.
What? If Trump loses, particularly if it's close, there's a decent chance he'll outright call for armed supporters to take to the street, never mind the bullshit dog-whistles he's doing already.
