Very easy for him to revisit this if Biden announces he is not running for re-election.
What one finds palatable, another might deem unacceptable. Given that out of hundreds of posters that frequented that thread, including modmins that basically camped there daily, none found my sense of humour homophobic, there might just be the tiniest chance that you two are the ones making mountains out of molehill.
You can't take this sort of thing at face value given that they all squirm out of the question when asked, especially if running for reelection in their current jobs.
I was wondering who was where in that hypothetical ticket. We’ll see what happens in the primary of course but I’d have Newsom over Pete myself

Not officially.
It is more about him announcing he won't run. President with one term is always expected to run. Poor mid terms and pressure would have increased on him to drop it. As it is, if Trump says he is running then I think he will definitely run again and that too without any Dem opposition.
He said yesterday's he's considering it and will likely make his decision by early 2023.
In reality, he's waiting for Trump to make his decision before deciding. If Trump runs, there's a very good chance Biden does as well. If Trump doesn't run, then there's a decent chance Biden will step aside and let another Dem run. Both Biden and Trump have been locked in this standoff for some time, which should continue until Trump makes his move, either next week or whenever.

It has become such a divided country that people vote for their party, regardless of the candidate. Porter is awesome and her losing her seat would suck.

Pressure from who ? As POTUS, he ultimately controls the party apparatus and can decide whatever he wants to do. If he himself decides its time to retire, then I'm sure he will that. But that would be informed by what Trump does, not what random establishment Dems want.
Newsom-Whitmer would be my preferred ticket too. However, I feel that if Kamala runs, Newsom won’t run, in which case we will probably get Kamala-Buttigieg. While I like both of them to some degree, I do not see Kamala as a particularly strong candidate especially if GOP runs someone else than Trump (Desantis).
Newsom has no loyalty to Harris. He will do his own thing.
Harris being VP, from the same state as him would probably mean donors will favor her. Newsom can then wait for another cycle as governor of the most important state in the US.
I hope he runs though (as long as Trump’s insane daughter in law does not have something really bad on him).
No one is going to favor Harris about anything. She's unelectable and generally unlikeable, so she will fade into the distance, just like Mike Pence would if he ran on the other side.
Encouraging but unlikely. It would however be quite a spectacle if the queen of bumblefeck idiocy, Lauren Boebert, winds up gifting the house to the Dems.

First time I ever saw a tweet of his was two days ago around 300P, the one that said Dems would win the senate with a gain. No clue who he is, but don’t think he’s been incorrect thus far.
