Word on the street is Trump is considering Little Marco Rubio for VP.

Most of them are Republican and were going to vote for him anyway. Although given his performance in the FL primary the other day, one never knows.
Rubio would be good, for dems, Florida is going republican anyway, so Trump getting a few extra points there doesn't matter.
Not really, Rubio is relatively sane, Dems would gain far more if Bobo or MTG were his VP choice

Forget the politics and left and right. The choice at the moment our American friends have is a narcissistic fraudster and an old man with early onset dementia. Why should we worry?
Rubio would be a smart pick for Trump unfortunately, that would help him even further with cubans and latinos. Would probably be upsetting for some of his base to see him pick an establishment politician though.
I think picking Rubio would help Trump among non-Cuban hispanics more. Trump is already polling well ahead of where he was with them in 2020, and Rubio, who speaks Spanish and could do ads directly to them, would only help him with what is one of the fastest growing demographics.

Trump’s rhetoric of “immigrants are poisoning our blood” does not seem to be resonating with actual immigrants and second generations. I think the black vote in the swing states will decide things. It’s a shame Kamala Harris is so unpopular because she does have a great story.

While Rubio does make a bit of sense. Trump will also want a full asskisser this time as well. He wont want someone that will pull a Pence when he wants someone to bend the law or break it. Lesson learned from the first time he will want a full on MAGA purity test this time.

This. Rubio will only motivate Latinos living in SE Florida which he basically has already. Don't see him catching on with other Latino diasporas in the US.

They're insignificant. Trump can find people who are just as Trumpy, but actually matter.
He appeals to suits at department stores but they don't vote and are as empty as Rubio.

Oh yeah for sure, it's possible. It would be amazing, if not for the fact that he might just win, and then possibly die from a hamburger overdose.
It would be a better move to go for someone who can help him in some of the swing states.
Unfortunately for Trump and GOP, they took a bit of a shellacking in the the swing States in the midterms, so that bench is quite thin.

I think it might be more based on turnout than bringing in new voters. There is a sizeable minority of Latinos that are generally socially conservative and Rubio would likely be able to turn them out to vote better than MTG. Whether its enough to make a difference in key states is probably anyone's guess though.

That's awesome. Hopefully that means less people donating, and it certainly means less campaign money for downstream republicans. Even if he gets away with all of his criming, at least it helped dry up the GOP coffers.

Electorally speaking, shouldn't the democrats overburden DJT with one lawsuit after another, meaning both less time for Trump to focus on campaigning and more billable hours for his legal team that will come out of the GOP campaigning budget?
The risk of course if that he gets away with some and use it to scream witch hunt, but chances are he'll do it either way.
Nah, he's used to that. He's had thousands of cases filed against him and he usually just settles out of court. The trouble is proving things and although there are countless things he could be accused of, it costs so much and the State or Federal Government losing will only reinforce his claims of persecution and a weaponised justice system.
The State cases, although still important are really more of getting him for whatever they can be relatively certain of obtaining a conviction for. Federal cases are different because from my understanding they rarely lose and have a ridiculously high conviction rate so only ever bother if they are absolutely certain they will win. Obviously this is unchartered territory with Trump being an ex President and the amount of charges and wide scope of them too.
What about his daughter? Is it a possibility? It will strengthen his autocratic dreams. If he wins, then in 2028 his daughter could become President and Donald the VP. And if there is a problem with pardoning himself, he could resign a week before his term ends and his daughter, the new POTUS, will pardon him.

Unfortunately many morons around here who don't realize that all their union positions have always gained the most in benefits and wages when Dems are in charge yet a lot of their membership so often lean R. Its incredibly mind boggling. I know people working in union heavy positions from manufacturing to public safety who have gotten way bigger gains than I have as an exempt non union professional yet they somehow think Trump is their hero.
