So your looking at him to stand out like this every week? Be serious.
He won't stand out every week, but did you watch him last year? I watched him a lot and he absolutely tore teams apart on numerous occasions. He ran Watford ragged in the play off final. I see absolutely no reason he won't be able to do that to the likes of West Ham, Stoke, Fulham, Cardiff etc. Maybe he's not gonna be able to mug City or Chelsea's players off but he's still only young, and after Valencia, Nani and Young's showings last year i'd be more than happy if we gave him the chance to be a starter this year.

Welbeck...so good at football, but really his finishing....
Enjoyable half overall

If he ever gets it together he can be one of the best strikers in Europe, he has so many good attributes.

The youngsters are really grabbing their chance on this tour. Januzaj, Zaha and Lingard have all impressed.

Dummy by welbz was fantastic for lingards goal. Definitely meant it too

Lingard's really staked a claim in this first half. Yes, its only an exhibition team he's up against but considering how rubbish our wingers were last season he deserves an opportunity to demonstrate he could do this in a proper match for Man Utd.

He did well last summer too. He still didn't get a sniff last season, with most of the other youngsters given a chance ahead of him in the cups.

Yeah I did, at times he was very good and at other times he was quite poor. I wouldn't say he was amazing at that level, a good young player but with good raw attributes. Like I said I expect him to do well over time, but as is the case with young players he will be inconsistent and it will be a step up. Zaha won't lose the ability to beat players, but the players he will be trying to beat will be better and more experienced which will make it harder. I'm hoping for big things from him my point was just I wouldn't take so much from this match.

Do we expect Lingard to go out on loan again this season? I can see going somewhere like Hull or Palace working quite well for him although I wouldn't be disappointed if he stayed with us and featured from time to time.

Anyone got an idea why Lingard's loan spell was unsuccessful last season? He looked a crafty little player last pre-season and has looked even better in this one.

Like a lot of kids they get loaned and the other club don't bother playing them or don't have the courage to play them.

And yeah, Lingard looking the business again. Been a while since I watched him play this good.

Hopefully he and Januzaj will get chances this season.

Berisha, 2-1.
