Zaha couldn't score in a brother tonight.

Lingard looks very useful, maybe not strong enough for the biggest games, but there are a few less heavy weight teams out there where I think he could be very useful.

Lots of positives to take from the game. Lingard with a very good game, Januzaj looking very good (and very much at home, despite his young age) when he came on etc. Cleverley also looking in very good shape already - hassled them for the entire 90 minutes and didn't look tired in the end.

I hope we can play this pressing game. That is what a lot of people were moaning about, that we gave other teams too much time and stood off them.

Yeah. Need a squad of players with very good engines for that. Ando will need to sort himself out. From what I read on here it doesn't look good.

Januzaj is improving at an unbelievable rate. He could be something very special that lad.

When does his contract expire? We've fecked up enough with Pogba. We need to gradually give these kids first team football or they'll be lured elsewhere.

Thought we looked pretty sharp this time. Welbeck scored two good goals and had plenty of other decent chances too. Lingard had a great game and Zaha was lively on the right.

Crerand's 'analysis' during commentary is like audio description for the blind.

Wow. Lingard, Zaha and Januzaj in his cameo really impressed me. I hope they are all first-team players next season.

We played like freackin Brazil.

Can any gif that lovely bit of football at the end when Januzaj hit the post? That was pure sex

I think Moyes has what it takes to really make these guys play a fast pressing lovely attacking brand of football.
He pushes them hard in training and you can see that. Our whole squad seems like it's going to end up a lot fitter than previously thought.
Heck, Anderson might even get to a decent point with Moyes pushing him. Everytime he slacks off, I imagine Moyes will be much harder on him in training than others may have been. As for the others, like Cleverley, it's great to see them pushing for 90 mins and still having the legs.
And it's only pre season lads! Thoroughly excited about the coming season.

Paddy's reaction to Jessie's reaction/interview was like that of a grand-dad watching his grandson. Proud and looked like he had tears in his eyes!!

Tbf. Fergie builds up fitness for March and not December.

Yeah, but I think Moyes will manage to get us playing to that standard in March anyway. A pressing game like that take a serious amount of fitness, so the squad rotation is going to be very important.
Only time will tell how we do come March fitness and form wise.

Great game tonight. Just got in and had an absolute belter. Thanks United for coming down under and showing us all a good time.

But in all seriousness and it came seriously close to me walking out after 10 minutes and only something as grandiose as United could have kept me there.
It just completely boggles my mind how utterly pathetic some grown men can be. Sat a couple of rows in front of us were 5 sad men in Van Persie Arsenal kits who moaned their tits off the entire night at the top of their lungs calling things from 'COME ON A LEAGUE' and 'X PLAYER YOU ARE feckING RUBBISH' and booing Van Persie when he came on and when he touched the ball and scored and continually calling him a 'f***ot' repeatedly afterward. I shit you not, the entire 90 minutes they didn't let up.

You five cretins shelled out just on $1000 to do ruin nearly everyone around them's night? Seriously? I'm still shaking my head going 'feck... Seriously?' every time I think about it.

Apart from that I had an absolute ball, great to see how well supported United is down under. Proud of the whole leg of the tour.

Does anyone know if there's a video of this anywhere? My river ran dry almost immediately after the final whistle.

Really? that's fecking pathetic.

Yep. fecking hell, it was absolutely ludicrous. I was hoping some of the pommy top reds sat in the tier next to us would come down and chin the fecking cnuts. At one stage they were giving them shit but they kept going.

(I'm not having ago at their supporter base or the lads here. But these men were beyond fecking sad.)

There were a fair few young kids with all sorts of teams strips on and that's completely fine but I just didn't understand why grown men would go kitted out in their Arsenal/Chelsea/Liverpool gear. There were even a few Spurs kits.

Why on earth would you shell money to go and see this if you were a rival fan? I just don't get it. Thanks for the 200$ and all fecking see ya later but.. Ok.

Matches like this are the perfect antidote to the trials and tribulations of transfer muppetry. When you see our youngsters producing football like that, you almost don't want anyone new to come in.

We had some idiot shouting Judas at RVP but he shut up after a couple of middle aged Mancs stared giving him a mouthful. Very amusing in the end.

My son saw United live for the first time and he had a ball.

Back from the game and have to say definitely got our money's worth

Zaha looks some player .... Big, strong and quick

Lindgard quick, skillful, definitely caught the eye...

Great action, 83.5k very happy fans , a brilliant week alround
