You realise FM 2019 is not real life?
Maybe contraversial but I don’t think he would do as well in England.

If Eriksen leaves, Spurs should sign Dybala. Poch will get the best out of the Argie.
Never taught about that. He would be a good signing for them, but I don’t believe he plays in the role Eriksen plays. Dybala would be more like a replacement to Ali if I m not wrong. Eriksen was more of a creator and his replacement should be a playmaker as well. Even though, it would be difficult to find a like to like playmaker like Eriksen, I believe someone like a more talented Zaha can do job. Similar to some of the players I listed. Whereas someone like Suso, James Rodríguez or Isco could be more similar to Eriksen.

Maybe Maddison, young, English, ticks some boxes for Spurs. Im sure RM will throw cash around like confetti, pay over the top for Eriksen and this will give Pochettino a decent war chest to wade into the xfer market with. Plus the sale of all those fringe players, Janssen, Llorente, Nkodu, the English Messi with an Affro, Carter Vickers, whoever else they have out on loan Ive forgotten. They already have some money in reserve, were willing to pay up to 30mil for Grealish.

Maddison does tick the right boxes for Spurs, but he would not take them to another level either especially if replacing Eriksen who is a much better player than Maddison. Spurs has consistently finished in the top four in the last few years and for a team with champion league ambitions, they should get players that matches those goals. Maddison could be a good replacement for lamela, but not Eriksen.
No chance. Dybala would cost more than 100 mil considering he is of a higher profile than Coutinho and Dembele who cost 100 mil each. The Neymar transfer has totally changed the amount of money star players go for.I don't know what FM is (unless it's a radio station), but for 60-70 million Euros you can get him. I think, Madrid would pay the same for Eriksen.
All very true. To have provided us with the world's best stadium and a fantastic training centre, all whilst the club has become an established top 4 club in the face of 5 other wealthier clubs ... And to also have also established us in the global top 10 income wise ...
I don't know why you keep saying you have the worlds best stadium, because it isn't true.
The Nou Camp, The Bernabeu, Old Trafford, San Siro, Anfield... these stadiums are iconic, your new stadium isn't. Cheese room aside.
You know full well he is talking about the structure itself rather than anything 'iconic' or related to the history.
He's claiming you have the best stadium in the world; that title, as meaningless as it is, would have to include how iconic the stadium is, whether he wants it to or not.

Agree. It’s like burning down the Notre Dame, replacing it with a generic ”Paris Cathedral” made of plastic and cheese and calling it the world’s best cathedral because it has 15 mm bigger seats or whatever.

Well, the vast majority of football journalists who have been to our new stadium say that it is true. I'll take their opinion over yours, especially when I doubt you've actually yet been there to see it.
When the football journalists link all your best players and manager away from Spurs do you take their word for it then as well?
That's not comparing like with like and you know it.
Giving a personal opinion as to which stadium they think is the best (given that they've been to most of them, if not all of them) is not the same as writing a speculative story - which may or may not be based on 'inside' information - as to which transfers could happen.
This thread is depressingly predictable and not in a good way. It's the new Spurs thread for the ages.
Exactly. I came here to talk how awesome is PochettinoThis thread is depressingly predictable and not in a good way. It's the new Spurs thread for the ages.
So what you're saying is you'll believe the journalists when you want to and ignore them otherwise
Well I am shocked
Journalists have no reason to tell lies about their personal opinion of various stadiums.
But they do have plenty of reasons to tell lies - or pass off vague rumour as something more solid - when it comes to transfer-related news stories. It's called click-bait.
The fact that you claim not to know the difference between the one thing and the other tells us everything about your pre-determined attitudes.

Of course they have. They have been personally invited and received red carpet treatment and a VIP tour of the stadium. It’s in their interest to not bite the hand that feeds them, lest they be ostracized from further VIP events.
It’s exactly the same with mainstream gaming reviews. When was the last time you saw a truly A list game get panned? They don’t, because these journalists don’t want to lose their free merchandising and red carpet treatment.
You're right I do have pre-determined attitudes, one being showing you up as someone who's got an answer for everything and will bend everything and anything to fit your narrative ….

In that case they would go round to each stadium in turn and say that each is the best in the world. But they don't.
What clearly hacks you off is the very fact that the vast majority of football journalists who've been our new stadium say, in no uncertain terms, that it's the best football stadium they've ever been too. You don't like this consensus opinion and so you try to make out that it's merely them being nice and polite… as if being nice and polite was a strong point of the profession.
Hope I’m wrong, but I think we’re gonna regret not going after Poch full guns blazing.
Noooo, you think?Hope I’m wrong, but I think we’re gonna regret not going after Poch full guns blazing.
Why the rush to give Ole the job??Noooo, you think?. This is our worst decision after Moyes
Why the rush to give Ole the job??
Knows United. Nice guy. Legend. Lots of important stuff to hire a manager of the biggest club in England. CV? Not important like those thingsWhy the rush to give Ole the job??
He was obvious the right man for the job. Pochettino has rebuild Spurs from a mid table team to champions league contender with barely nothing to spend and while playing great football through great organization, high pressing and fantastic interplay. Even though Ole is like Di Matteo in that he has strong black magic, we don’t know how good he is in building a team. His transfer were appalling at Cardiff and Molde, but we can’t use that as an indicator of how well hewill do over here. Either way, he has gotten us in contention for a champions league place and with a little more luck, we could still be in champions league next season despite not playing atttactive football. So, let’s wait till the end of the season to see whether this was a mistake or not.Hope I’m wrong, but I think we’re gonna regret not going after Poch full guns blazing.

Spurs league positions prior to Pochettino
2013/14 - 6th
2012/13 - 5th
2011/12 - 4th
2010/11 - 5th
2009/10 - 4th
The Champions League contender comment isn’t really worth addressing.
