True, so I don't see why you should ask for evidence when it comes to Poch, but are perfectly fine to make hyopthetical statements with Ole.
In this Poch thread, there's no reason we can't speculate as to why Poch hasn't been hired for a new job yet. Perhaps he's crapper than we think? Possibly.
You're right...hypothetically but then you can say Lingard still has the chance, with his remaining years as a footballer to become a better player than Messi.
Poch's record is the 'substantive' evidence people are using to make those hypothetical suggestions and likewise Ole's record with Cardiff, Molde and now at Utd.
That's the only thing you can base it on. It's not a science but if you really wanted to point to stats, facts (or rather the intepretation of it) etc I'm sure it's out there.
I think Poch not being in a job for a year now is evidence that not all clubs are dying to hire him. Sure, he may have rejected some as well, but hypothetically speaking both points are credible and we as fans will never have the evidence to prove one way or the other unless Poch gives us the evidence.
Likewise, unless Ole comes out and posts on social media all his job offers of the past, we can only guess that he never got an offer from a decent club. Maybe he did and turned it down because he wanted to go back to Norway after a bad experience at Cardiff? Who the hell knows?

You're making hypothetical scenarios that veer on strawman arguments.
Poch's record suggests he will likely to be in a top job more likely than Ole will potentially have or has had offers for.
it's as simple as that. Both your examples can be exist mutually and be hypothetically true but to use one as a basis to justify the other is just reaching. And you're reaching hard just for the sake of pedancy.

None of the top clubs have really had any openings though. Barca was a no go due to his Espanyol links and Flick took his chance as interim manager for Bayern. The only one that is odd is Juve going for Pirlo, but he's a club legend and everyone is hoping to hire the next guradiola/zidane. There are already strong rumours that he's turned down a few other sides most notably monaco. It's now or never for him getting a top job. You always run the risk of getting a medium sized club and it going tits up through no fault of your own and damaging your career.
Poch has got no record in the last 12 months. Sorry, he isn't likely to get in a top job because the fact is he hasn't got one. For whatever reason, I don't know.

I dont want a manager who has a formation and tactic in his mind before he comes to united. He ends up selling good players that dont fit that formation and only buying players that do. I want a manager who looks at the players he has and aims to build the best formation for them.
I'm not surprised Mourinho is doing well at Spurs because their tactics and type of player is not much different

The Monday Night Football studio will be carnage. Poch and Carragher will be in full flow finding new ways to point out how shite we are and really who can blame them. Ole and the team are putting big targets on their backs.
I don’t want Poch at the club but unless Ole improves things and quickly then I think the powers that be will run out of patience.

He’s miles better than Ole and is a free agent, if Ole gets sacked before the end of the season it’s nailed on Poch will be appointed.

I love Ole but if Poch will do a better job, i want him here. I have my favorite players and managers, but if my favorite team is far better off without them, then they need to go.
They would be doing this with anyone on MNF, not just Poch.
I'm just not convinced by him. Our team looks good enough to start challenging for trophies and getting someone that has bottled his chances of winning trophies doesn't fill me with confidence.

I'm like you I think he is a good manager and without looking in to his preferred formations I wouldnt be crying about him coming here but it just seems like the same type of football for 6 years and that's going to turn in to a decade?
I'm not riding anyone here but would Pochettino play Silva and De Bryune in CM? Would Pochettino play Firmino as a false 9 whilst making Mane and Salah the main goalscorers coming out from wide?
I'm not so sure - I want something really creative at the club after ages.
It is clear to me that he is the favorite to take over, but Ole keeps saving his job with results like psg and rb Leipzig. Moreover, Ole is likable and doesn’t cause chaos, so it makes it harder to sack him. Poch might not want to wait for our indecisive board and just get an opportunity from Psg, Real Madrid, or another top club. As such, I don’t know who United will go for in that instance. Nagelsman, makes a lot of sense, but after being trounced and showing lack of mental toughness in that defeat, it makes me question if he will be an ideal choice. Regardless, what I know is Pochettino is the perfect choice to replace Ole. This team has so much talent in it, we just need a manager like Pochettino that can get the best out of it consistently.

True. But like someone else said it has a José vibe about it, his name constantly linked with Utd and maybe the guy we should’ve appointed previously but didn’t. Whether he’s the right man either who knows but I do think it’s just a matter of time before he’s our next manager. Unless he goes to City first or something like that.
Suspect questions about his future plans are strictly off the table for him,will be all about his relationship with Bielsa
