We always start slow in Europe, and just 2 years ago, we lost 1-0 to FC Kopenfeckinghagen on the road, so I wouldn't take any minnows for granted now. I'd take a 1-0 right now, but I'd be delighted if the scoreline turns out to be a tad higher.

I'd be tempted to tinker a bit and start with Giggs, Brown, Nani. As Berbatov needs more games, he should start, too.
 
Whats wrong with Hargreaves now? Atleast the medical team isn't doing nothing since Saha left
 
I'd start Berba with Rooney..bring on Tevez at 60 minutes for whoever isn't performing best.

Don't know where people are getting these 3-0 and 4-0 scorelines from. Aalborg will be tricky enough to break down judging by their solid result at Celtic.

My thoughts turn to the Copenhagen game where we seemed to have the attitude that we just needed to turn up to win. The pitch was a disgrace that night, but it was little excuse for our performance. I'm hopeful we'll be a lot better tomorrow night.



On a side note, while I can't say I'm too familiar with Aalborg, it's pretty cool that they have 1885 on their badge, which is older than Liverpool FC for example. That's the year the sports club was founded rather than the football section however (similar to 1860 Munich).

we are taking a strong squad over. think it will be rooney and berbatov to start.
 
We need to be professional, we're not the best away in Europe. Been embarrassed a few times.

Hope he plays full strength.
