Carrick and Ramsey have been the two most consistent midfielders in 2013. Ramsey is getting more recognition because he's scoring goals - shock - but he's been consistently consistent since January. Unbelievable transformation.
Exactly, even without the goals he has been performing extremely well. He's a tackle machine and always makes himself available for a pass.

A leg break like that takes a huge toll on your confidence as a player. I heard he also needed a therapist to get over the nerves that he may break his leg again.

His goal was amazing in terms of composure, the old Ramsey would have blasted it so high pigeons would have felt in danger.
Contrast that finish with this a couple of seasons ago:
He always has got into goal scoring positions, like Lampard in that respect how he gets into the right positions. Like he said today he didn't have the composure or confidence, whereas now everything he does seems to have purpose.
He has great mental strength, coming back from such a bad leg break, taking a lot of stick from his own fans but still knuckling down and getting on with things, I've seen Wenger bollock him a few times as well. You don't ever hear him complaining about any of the treatment he got. I think Wenger said one his best qualities was he always listening and his work ethic. Am glad Wenger stuck by him, again shows his man management skills and how to get the best out of a player.

Things just seem to be coming off for him now. Always had the ability to do great things, and now he's actually doing great things.
No surprise - this was coming, considering how much more composed he looked in January. Even in pre-season, he was a boss. He tore through a competent Manchester City. He's received a lot of criticism that can't be justified. When you come back from such an injury, it's natural that it will take long to find consistency again. He's the best all-round midfielder in the league right now and has been the best midfielder in 2013 (in the Premier League). Ramsey's only problem is that he doesn't get into position quickly when teams evade his press, that I agree with Wenger on.
