Adnan Januzaj

From what I've seen of Januzaj he seems to have more tricks than Kagawa. Kagawa generally keeps it pretty simple and relies more on intelligence and a good touch/close control while Januzaj is more likely to beat a man with a piece of skill. I could be off though, I've only seen 5-6 reserve games this season.

Isn't Kagawa in the Silva mould though?

More goals but (hopefully) very similar players.

Tough to explain but agree with Akash02 that they are in a different mould as far as AM/False wingers go.

For example Kagawa releases the ball early mostly short building passing chains, while Silva and Januzaj drift around slightly more fluidly and can hold the ball on longer while being more ambitious with their passing. Kagawa dribbles past players comparitively less too vis a vis a Silva/Januzaj who can beat a man on the outside or inside regularly or on the break carry the ball across large distances instead of passing it early.

Plus, Silva and Januzaj both go wide when playing central role a lot more than Kagawa too and then put in crosses.

His style may change as he goes on, but right now at the U21 level Silva is a very good comparison in terms of playing style AFAIC. Obviously, being left footed helps that comparison too.

I likened him slightly to Modric a couple pages back, I have no idea why I did I must have been drunk or something because I take that back.

What I do know is, this kid is great but I just hope people don't have too high expectations straight away. He will come good though I think and has to be an almost cert to make it.

I think Janzjaz will feature in squad in next few years with keane bros and daeli. Not too sure bout others.

To me he has the same languid gait as Stoichkov and a silky left foot that is reminiscent of Rivaldo. His ball skills are definitely in the David Silva mold but his vision and awareness are more like a young Zinedine Zidane.
I've never seen him play.

:lol::nono:

He's a hybrid of Messi and Ronaldo.

For me, he's a cross between Silva, Juninho, and a young Jenny Agutter.

This thread is a montage of people trying to tell everyone they know more about Januzaj than everyone else when really they are talking bollocks about moulds and such.

Very amusing mind.

Ugh, all you mainstreamers coming in on the back of a few Fergie comments and colonising Januzaj with your shit comparisons. Some of us were into him before he was cool. Bite.

The thing that I've found most impressive about the lad and believe I've noticed first, before anyone else, is the fact that his name starts with the same first 2 letters as it ends.

I wish I could have interaction with Fergie, unfortunately I can't. How does he say his name?

It's Ya-Noo-Zay or Janu(Pronounced as in Man Utd with J not Y)- Zaj ?

I've seen commentators on MUTV use both.

Damn. I thought you were serious, until I read the white text.

On side note, is there anyone out there comparable to Stoichkov? One of the most complete forward: striker, winger, playmaker.
