Adnan Januzaj

I had some fears that this pre-season might be a year too soon for him as I assumed he'd be easily bullied physically but he has been tremendous so far. Him and Daehli will have no problem in terms of technique and can easily fit in our first team.

He does get bullied easily, we saw that today in one of the challenges. But, he picks himself up and continues to play on like nothing has happened. It's a good learning experience for him.

Wow he was quite impressive when he came on. His control shows straight away that he has the class. Is he best suited to AM but also capable of filling in on the flanks? Very promising future ahead of him.

Hate to be the one who breaks it to you, but Daehli is no longer with us.

Except Daehli is gone.

Things have changed while you were sleeping.

Sandra Bullock no longer loves you.

Thanks for the news lads. Seems like I have some catching up to do.

Seems like Ole is out to buy our whole reserves squad.

He looks so much stronger than he did at the end of last season. Must have have put the effort in at the gym over the summer break.

Missed the 2nd half as I needed to nip out. How long did he play? Did he look as impressive as he did in the last game? I was surprised at his burst of acceleration he showed in the last game. Very quick off the mark with the ball. Looking forward to seeing more of him.

Should his thread not be in the FF now, along with Lingard and Powell?

He came on at 71 minutes, and looked class. Probably even a slight step up on the last match, when he was visibly easing himself into things a little. He had more of the swagger of the Januzaj we've seen for the youth sides today. Produced a couple of imperious long passes, along with all the usual good stuff.

Jeez he looked utter class when he came on. So silky on the ball and always drifting into good positions. Think he will come on well in the next few years.

He had a bit of extra bite today, harrying people of the ball and showing a real determination to win possession back. He could be a joy to bring on against tired defences if he brings that energy

Yes but he likes to drift all over the pitch, playing CM would require an almost fullstop to that (unless its 1 of 3 CM) and as we've seen with Anderson, even attackers much more physically suited to CM can have trouble converting

His passing is incredible.

He makes insane passes under pressure that a lot of other players won't attempt even when they have the space and time to.

That dinked/curled through ball he played to Zaha towards the end was of the highest quality.

It was so clever. It was one of those passes that you see from the likes of Iniesta (or Giggs circa 2011) where it simply doesn't look like there is a route, grounded or aerial, for the ball to reach the player, and yet somehow he finds a way to curl it perfectly into place.

Realistically we'd be asked to pay £7-10 million if we saw him playing for another team in pre-season and asked about signing him. So hopefully he's given the chances a new signing of that kind of investment would be.

Do people think he is better than Morrison was?

Didn't catch the match but delighted to hear that he good more game time and impressed.

I suppose you could say he's a similar talent. It's difficult to say if he's better. They're quite similar. I would say Morrison had a better shot on him then Adnan but it might come. Morrison might even have been a little bit quicker - it's tough to judge. I wouldn't think there's much difference.

We saw in Morrisons fleeting games for the first team, he looked quality. Adnan seems to have to be going the same way, with a much improved attitude.

Agreed, it's very hard to say. He's certainly on par with him, with the added bonus of an excellent attitude and an incredible work ethic on the pitch. (To be fair to Morrison, there was rarely anything wrong with his attitude on the pitch. But Januzaj is hard-working on another level.)

There's a calmness and maturity about him that really makes me feel he could go on to be a very good player. You see a lot of players with the technique but he's got an intelligence to go with it, you can see he knows exactly what he wants to do. Add in what looks like a good work rate and he's got all the tools he needs. Hopefully we'll get to see a lot more of him soon enough.

Just when you lose a bit of faith in the reserves, Adnan and Lingard remind us of the quality we have already at the club. Some great talents have left the club but I hope Adnan holds a central role. He's not the quickest (could be deceptive) but he's got great imagination and he doesn't look flustered. His passing is quality and he's always wanting the ball.

I haven't seen much of him but he looks the kind of player who could make impact fairly quickly.

I see no reason why he shouldn't be involved in the first team this season. He just has that Kaka-esque class, glides on the pitch. Very exciting prospect.

Here you go lads. Made this for you lot:

Better performance than his last, coming off the bench too, which is impressive.
